P'boro tomorrow - Poyet's D-Day?

Not putting this thread out there to stir, but tomorrow really is crucial game for him after the run we've had recently. Arguably the easiest home game of the season and one we should really be winning by a decent margin with the squad we have. If we fail to win and then also fail to win the next few games (which are all tough) I can see a managerial change before we go to Selhurst.

To the Poyet faithful out there, this isnt a dig at him on a personal level, if Mourinho was in charge I'd have the same worry. The current run is simply not good enough for what we now have at our disposal.

We should have won against Leeds, we play like that tomorrow, and we will cruise it.

My only worry is the consistent starts Barnes gets, I feel we should give Dobbie the nod

However, if we don't take 3 points, poyet does need to stop being so arrogant and do something about it

If we have only 20 points after 20 matches, ie lose the next 6 including Palace, then I reckon, sadly, that he's gone.

Equally we could have 38 points by then, and life would be all good.

Exactly. As much as I'd hate to see a young promising Albion manager get the chop, I think we're in a position as a Club and a business where there's no longer room for sentiment. We need to be challenging (properly challenging i.e. top 4) this season to retain the interest and keep this Club on track to where we want to be.

Posh have collected 12 points from their last seven games , we have collected 4 points from seven games , given those stats its no gimme that we will roll over Posh as most seem to think .

We're in trouble if we can't beat Peterborough at home. If we don't ill be fearing the worst.

When he announces the team we will know if we win or not, at least we can't play 3 defensive midfielders

This...If Crofts or Dicker come back into the midfiled at the expense of Orlandi or Buckley, i.e stick Barnes back out wide and only play one, natural wide man. I will seriously think Poyet has got issues that need sorting out. If a player needs resting after Saturday, that's fair enough, but keep the same shape. Square pegs in round holes does not work, if he has finally worked this out, fair enough but if his arrogance, that he knows best as I suspect comes through again and he changes the shape back and we lose or even draw, it's time for him to go and play golf I think.

Not quite D-Day, but certainly the start of the clock ticking.

5/1 for Posh to win is too big .

Thing is, people will think IF/AFTER we beat P'boro, that everything will be all okay. But after that we still have Wolves and Bolton coming up as well as a trip to Palace.

We have to win tomorrow night, simple as that. I'll also need us to win at least two of the three after that to be going to Selhurst with any confidence. If Gus puts out the team that he put out on Friday then I think we'll brush Peterborough aside. If he plays three defensive midfielders again then I'll start to question him, for the first time ever. We have to get at Peterborough right from the start, lets put this game to bed by half time. Then by all means bring on three defensive midfielders.
