Don't get T-Mobile, it's bollocks. 30p a minute to make a call, until you spend £10 in a month and it's 20p, spend another £10 and it's 10p. Great. Not.

O2, its great, but make sure you get the simple pay as you go and not WILD, its a nightmare unless you talk on your phone a lot

Now see the best deal depends on what you use the phone for.
If you text a lot then ones that have deals on that would be good if you call a lot then there are other deals and if you spend a lot then may be contract is better.

Contract is not better if you want to be in control of your money (IE when you run out you don't want to be under pressure to spend).

If you want the convenience of a contract (IE pay for what you use after you've used it) but don't want to pay rental for a load of stuff you may not use. The maybe virgin DD or 3 2go would be worth looking at.

I have both Virgin monthly DD and 3 2 go, as well as 2 pay as you go sims its a good mixture. 1 sim used for the text messages (including all those ring tones) credit the phone with £10 a month and I get 300 txt free (+ 30 online txt) from 02. (that's either £40 worth of txt for £10 per month or its £30 of text per month and £10 worth of calls and no binding contract when its over its over just stop using the phone).

If you buy on-line withj O2, you get better deals than in the stores - at least that was the case with the SIM card I ordered off them.

I do loads of texts, and so got a SIM card that gives me 300 texts per month - all I have to do is top it up by a minimum of £10 per month. The £10 credit more than covers my calls, and I rarely get through more than the 300 texts (when you've used them up, they cost 10p each out of whatever credit you have left).

Marvellous.

Yes, I have a NEC e808y

Looks like a speak and spell machine with the qwerty key pad.

Its large not as heavy as it looks it should be battery life of a motorola (very, very poor) and spends most of its life switched off.

Has built in camera for video calling etc which is pointless unless you know someone you actually want to look at, who wants to actually look at you, whilst your calling them who has a phone and a service too.

well it was free and it was worth a look but I don't think i'll use it much.

BT genie, 02 same thing, 02 is the new name for the whole lot.

sim cards can be anything from free to £10 on the 02 site or anything from a £1 to anything else from ebay.

bear in mind though all the cards on ebay were obtained for free from 02 so.
