How much money did he make us last night?
firstly, he oversaw the purchase of Caicedo at a bargain price. Then his inept negotiating pushed the price up to 110m!

has Bloom put him in Chelsea as an undercover agent?

Talksport was great about 20 minutes ago. Chavs supporter Matterface parked his cheery broadcasting persona, to lay into Winstanley. Certain that he’s not fit for the role.

He and his studio colleagues benchmarked Albion and Brentford. Mocking Winstanley’s attempt at the algorithms.

Worth a listen.

A billion pounds spent and a reserve Brighton keeper in goal, a 57 year old centre back, a £80m winger with no goals and assists in 22 games and no striker who can put the ball in the net. It’s a very different kind of moneyball at Chelsea.

Am sure another £500m flip of the squad in January will sort it all out

A US private equity fund are in negotiations with Boehly to pump in another $300m, partly for squad improvements.

For Tony that’s another jackpot on the horizon.

Is he still there? Makes sense looking at their results I suppose.

Planning a season in advance.

To be fair they should have enough strength in depth to get promoted next season.

Lying “We can’t be reactionary”.

Their interest in Caicedo started in January according to part of his agency team. They copied Arsenal. So NOT two windows ahead.

Then they very much reacted in overnight having to pay £30m extra for Caicedo. Until then mistakenly believing they had TB on a stringe.

Winstanley talks a good game in trying to avoid the sack.

We know Winstanley knows his job - he was good here. When he arroved at Chelsea, Stewart had already made some almighty cock-ups, but for some reason Boehly didn't want to sack his man - didn't want to lose face, probably. So it maybe - just maybe, obviously i'm not in there in the office with them - being saddled with working alingside Stewart is the problem? Can't understand why Chelsea fans seem to give Stewart a free ride.
Anyway, whatever the problem, here's hoping Chelsea don't solve it for a good long time!

Very brief Chelsea fan @Swansman explained that. Boehly was very deliberately assembling a committee of football knowledge gods, cherry picking the best of the best from across Europe.

Winstanley was good here once the algo was tweaked .... before then he signed some right old rubbish and people on this very board were moaning about him. He's a sleazy salesman.

Shame he doesn't know what reactionary means (opposing political or social progress or reform). Assume he meant reactive?
