Line drawn - Chelsea can f*** off now.

Hopefully TB has told them not to bother for 24 months at least
Until January when they unsettle and approach Trossard and put feelers out for Caicedo and maybe Sanchez.

My guess would be a lowball offer, Trossard requests the move, the usual wrangling occurs and he goes in early January for around Ā£30m. We will be working on his replacement as we speak - well, whateverā€™s left of the recruitment teamā€¦

I think they have access to some data over in Chelsea as well.
Does it get analysed by some incredibly complex algorithm that ends up spitting out a pop up that says ā€œjust sign everyone from Brighton and waste a f*** ton of money on Raheem Sterlingā€?

If the owners., directors etc have a very clear and well thought out vision of what they want to do, being a senior manager or middle management in that organisation is an absolute pleasure and it is really easy to perform well and be a success because it's clear where you are going.

If that same incredibly management team go somewhere else they may find it very different ???

Argus saying seven figure package. What sort of contracts are these people on? Over a million quid for a head of recruitment. Not long ago that over a million quid for a player was amazing for us.
Would imagine it was more to buy him out of the notice period. Ā£1 million is cheap if it means saving a few quid on a transfer

Not sure David Weir is Dan Ashworth level.
He doesnā€™t necessarily need to be as good as Dan Ashworth. His value to Brighton was setting up the structures and putting the processes in placeā€¦now it just needs someone to run it. And I believe the club has just signed someone to help Weir and cover gaps in his skill-set.

Never liked Chelsea, always had dubious owners, gobby fans, shitty cramped stadium, really hate them now..

Have got no time now for Potter. He must have been asked his opinion on Winstanley. So easy to have said enough is enough.

Are you allowed to hiss?
Potter walked into Albion, after a reasonable but not explosive season in the championship with a Swede who has stuck with him since obscurity and a failed ex Scottish number 1 as his assistant. Yes he was good at improving players and tactics, but here he met Bruno & Ben Roberts, was blessed with a structure from top to bottom that was professional and provided him everything he needed to succeed.

He has shamelessly decided to try and nab that all for himself. Bloom built the house, Potter has no problems trying to expropriate it for himself as it brought him so much success.

I genuinely hope they all fail and are sacked

As I noted a day or so ago.....Chelsea, two times European Cup Winners buy our, OUR entire management and training team? What were they thinking?

Ther is only one person working at The Albion who really matters. The Lizard.

If I was a Chelsea fan right now I would be slightly concerned by the complete lack of any original thinking by the new owners. They are in effect becoming "Brighton and Hove Albion lite".

I wonder if heā€™s now starting to regret that decision? Poisoned Chelsea, sorry, chalice it certainly is.

Oh absolutely. I just wondered what sort of contract they are on. What is a normal notice period for a role like that? 6months. No idea what salary they are on but they must REALLY want him and only him to pay a million quid.

Not sure David Weir is Dan Ashworth level.

Well, Dan Ashworth had the contacts list in football, but given that he was employed by us for several years, Iā€™d consider it remiss if those same contacts werenā€™t now available to DW.

Whether DW has been able to build up the same level of relationship with those contacts is another matter, but if TB/PB had significant doubts as to his ability, he wouldnā€™t have been given the opportunity.
