Reid has an alternative proper job as a qualified radiographer I believe. Couple that with a job offer in the A-League and the quality of life over there then it's a no-brainer. Wishing all good luck to the lad. Not that he needs it.

Only Mayo and Hart hanging around like bad smells, prolonging the inevitable by a year, accepting insulting wage cuts and the increasing derision of the fanbase. Reidy obviously had the balls to tell the club where to shove their offer. Total respect

And Reid has contributed what to the Albion? Piss poor return over the last 3 years imo so he gets no respect from me, unlike OGh and Kerry. Time will tell if they can contribute a bit more and this witchunt and slagging off of two legends is starting to piss me off. Reid should go take the proper job, too injury prone to dictate terms as a footballer imo.

You don't remember when we used to have attack-minded midfielders who scored the odd crucial goal then?

That would be Hammond, Reid was injured at the time although he did look good for about 4 games a couple of seasons ago. Not really any meanigful contribution that I can think of over a spell of more than 3 games. Turned out to be a waste of wages, not his fault but let's not go over the top in adulation for an average mostly crocked player eh?

Um, not really. Loads of ol' GRIZZLIES near me in H Block who growl 'f*** Off Mayo' at the drop of a hat. Pretty sure they don't post on NSC. Might be wrong tho eh.

yeah suppose the recent crapness is disliked by many outside of the interweb, i'll let you win with this one ;)

They're his grandparents and uncles/cousins and should be allowed to voice their opinions :)

Really thought that one through didn't they? :dunce:
It could be he saw British citizenship as a necessity if he continued to play football over here and on an equal footing with other EU nationals plying their trade. It would make it easier to gain employment in his other profession as there is probably a quota system for non EU residents seeking jobs in the NHS.

Massive respect to Paul Reid:clap:

At least he's got the belief and ability to get a better deal elsewhere, and isn't willing to degrade himself by accepting massively reduced terms just to stave off the conference for another year. Unlike some.

Good luck to a player I always thought was very underrated.

You don't read do you .......... he has better offer from Oz and will only stay here if he gets same or better offer.

As for the Mayo dig, why don't you change the bloody record and actually form an opinion based on performance rather than your blinkered views based on your obsessions with players

Er, how about reading the "ability to get a deal elsewhere" comment? He's a good player, which is precisely the reason he won't take a joke deal from us.

If you don't think my assessment of these players is based on performance you're very wrong. I think you'll find I rate one of them as good, one of them as average, and one of them as bad. ALL on performance.

So what are you basing Paul Reid on ?

His PERFORMANCES during his time at the club, with more importance placed on the most recent. I really don't see how I'm being unfair to the guy!! Like it or not, I do only use their performance on the pitch as a criteria when rating albion players. I'm not interested in a lot else (apart from FLAIR).

Don't think you base anything on performances, if so your judgement is flawed. As you constantly slag off players yet ignore mistakes by your favorites.

And when you mention flair is just about ruins any creditablity anything you say
