I am having a discussion at work about Paul Jewell.
My colleague says he played for Brighton, but I reckon he never actualy played for the first team.

Never played for us was just on trial back in 95

i have a pre-season argus and the headline is something along the lines of "can paul be a jewel for the albion" i don't think he ever played a league game. a robust striker but was well past his best...

For some reason I used to think he'd played for us too. Then met him once, and he said he hadn't. I guess he should know. I think possibly he did have a trial though around the time of Steve Cotterill...

No mention of it any of his manager biogs. If he did play for us it can only be on loan.. Strange that so many seem to remember it. I think he was possibly just strongly linked to us, maybe had a trial.
