Was with another Wigan scout at Bradford v Brighton and he was writing a report on Jake, was not impressed though.

It really is time that certain types of KEY decisions can be referred to a video ref.

Cameras on the goal line
Penalty shouts/diving to determine yellow cards/ PK decisions
And I'd love to see an off side 4th official to be honest. The law is that the attacker should be given the benefit of the doubt, yet the number of promising moves cut short by a false off-side decision is scandalous! The game should be allowed to continue, and then when the ball is dead, the ref can demand to check the offside decision as he sees fit.

You don't need to be a scout to arrive at that conclusion.

I firmly believe there is corruption in the game at the highest level. Its been proved in Germany and Italy, and is so clear in some games here its laughable.

The bigs guns simply have the money to effect the result.

No surprise, improper conduct. Can he beat the rap by blaming the incompetence of the official? Three crass errors in a matter of minutes, denied the pen, wasn't allowed to bring his player back on, offside equaliser.

I don't think I've ever felt more symapthy for a manager losing the plot, it should be Dowd up on a charge.

I don't agree - his team benefitted from a WRONG offside call on Arse, then the balance was redressed.
Heskey dove. Why did he do that? It's obvious he could have stayed on his feet, and if he couldn't, then he would have got a pen for the foul anyway. The flailing legs and olympic-quality sprawl was an insult to the ref and totally a wrong thing to do. If he had got that pen, then everyone would be trying it on with Dowd.

I like Jewell and respect him as a manager, but he is falling into a classic trap of turning his frustration on the officials - also a mark of disrespect to Arsenal who scored two goals, simple as that.
