Can see Swindon not coming straight back up if their better players leave for higher clubs :/

Better players? They got relegated because their good players left before hand

If Paul Hart is the answer, what is the question?

I admire Paul Hart (or maybe his agent). He's somehow crafted out a second career as a manager (after his failure at Forest) based on nothing more than the fact that he was in the right place (manager of Portsmouth's academy) at the right time (when they were looking for a cheap option to take over a doomed club). Despite the fact that he was crap he's still managed to drag another two jobs out of it, and no doubt a fair wedge of cash. Well played that man.

What is the POINT of sacking him, FFS?

They were going down anyway. They appoint him in a desperate measure to try and do something about it, and unsurprisingly, given their selection of mediocre players, he can't. Seems a bit harsh to then bin him when the inevitable happens.

Do they seriously think a queue of high calibre candidates are going to be queuing up for a job in Wiltshire now?

He did well at forest then what? didnt he take down rushden?

His wikipedia page is hilarious. It's basically a list of failure.

Good first season at Forest. Second was dire. FIRED.
Barnsley - Failed to mount a promotion push from League One. FIRED.
Opened a dog kennel. Bitten by a dog. FAILURE.
Rushden - eight match winless run. FIRED.
Portsmouth - left them bottom of the table. FIRED.
QPR - sacked after five games.
Palace - kept them up by the skin of their teeth. Still FIRED.
Swindon - couldn't save them. FIRED.

I love this. Why do clubs keep employing managers like this with such a poor record? It's like a merry go round for them....from club to club.

Had to be done.

It's the way that having a job in a decent league almost guarantees you another shot at a club a bit further down the ladder that I find hilarious; it's almost like these chairmen think 'Well he must have had something about him to get appointed there'. They have one occasionally good season and that sees them through another 3 or 4 jobs. As well as Hart people like Megson, Sturrock and Peter Reid come to mind.

People like Mick Wadsworth spring to mind. Never achieved anything- or at least they have ONE reasonable season with a club that might not expect to be successful, and then they live off it for years to come.

Wadsworth, according to Wikipedia, has so far been fired as a manager or assistant manager by Norwich, Southampton, Oldham, Huddersfield, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Beira Mar, Gretna and Chester. He's also resigned as boss of Scarborough, Shrewsbury, Newcastle, Carlisle and Colchester.

Despite this less than impressive record, Hartlepool offered him a job this season when they needed to fill a vacancy. He must be very cheap.

Well he was only on a contract until the end of the season, so equally you could say what is the POINT of keeping him on for two more games if he isn't going to be there next year?
