:lolol:

Is THAT why we were rumoured to have switched to Pepsi?

Will nobody think of the poor multi millionaires who are going to have half full Coke bottles LUZZED at them for 90 minutes solid?

:moo:

Tesco and some other water been similar to this all summer, did wonder about the stadium implications.

My wife took one of these kind to the Amex, folded it back under her hand while walking in but jobsworth steward made her show the top of the bottle exposing the attached top, she wouldn’t let her in with it so I grabbed the bottle ripped the cap off and stuck in the stewards hand... what a completely pathetic rule...

Yeah - the stewards make you rip them off and bin them rather than recycle them 🙄

Good for the steward, doing their job. I guess you/your wife don’t mind getting hit on the back of the head with a full bottle of coke. I bet you felt quite good taking that action.

Most people drink their drink and not luzz a full bottle of what ever it might be. If someone’s hell bent on throwing a full bottle I’m sure they could get round it somehow.

I have heard it is possible to wriggle the lid off, store safely and wriggle back on later.

More fool your wife for exposing herself like that rather than following the rules.

Is it too late to introduce some kind of enhanced due diligence vetting program on our season ticket holders with those being considered, on balance, not a thrower, to be issued with a wristband allowing them to keep the bottle top?

Surely sitting position should also be considered? There's more chance of Sanchez lobbing Kepa this afternoon for the winner than me reaching the pitch with a capped bottle.

Indeed. My son and I just always make sure we take spare tops in with us - with no pat downs and the stewards wands not detecting the tops it's dead easy. We did forget to take them once so I just took two from the cup on the counter when the servers back was turned. A pointless and pathetic rule. Maybe they should take away all coins - far more dangerous than plastic bottles.

Bloke a few seats down from me has an apple every half time. Infinitely more luzzable than a plastic bottle but never seems to cause him any problem getting in

Not forgetting ability, not everybody is capable of a decent throw

Could be part of the ST renewal process where you’re tested in the coach park, performance is logged along with your seat position. Give it to Tones data team and we have a damage propensity ratio next to season ticket points on the digital account.

No cheating from those in the west upper though.

The alternative of course is to adopt the Starbucks approach and write fans names on each bottle at point of sale, a fair compromise I reckon

Calm down Tim nobody’s died 🙄😆
I’ve never been hit on the head by a full bottle of Coke but I do object to paddling in whatever knocked over drinks are cascading down the WSU under the seats, thinking of wearing my wellie boots to the match. :glare:

Those little bottles are pathetic.

you need something with a little weight to travel any distance. At least a magnum, or preferably a Jeraboam.
