What about opening up a branch of club shops over Sussex and really push the 'club of Sussex' idea. This would increase revenue and hopefully help grow the fan base.

With respect, and I say this as someone who does absolutely LOVE listening to The Roar, I think you're some way from Paxman-esque levels of questioning. You may ask a slightly 'awkward' question but you'll not chase up a weak or non-committal response.

I'm sure you want to stay onside with your guests, and I completely understand that.

I'm confused. Where did Al suggest he WAS Paxman-esque?

All these maths, but no one has factored in 2(Pie)r yet. Where 2 = Optimal no of pies consumed per person, (Pie) = Type of pie and r = rotundness of consumee. This will then calculate the circumference, or waist size of individual glutton.

You're not confused, so I'm not sure why you're pretending you are. Al didn't say that, and you know he didn't say that.

What I'm saying is that I don't think The Roar is likely to get to the real nitty gritty of issues where they exist.

Don't get me wrong, as I said, I love it - it's a great show, very entertaining and those involved do a brilliant job with it.

Once again...nowhere did he say they would be looking to "get to the real nitty gritty of issues". ???

Moron. I have no desire to be noticed, I just happen to comment on things that I have an opinion on and leave the rest alone.
Yes you have. I'll give it a week before you post some outlandish crock of shit which you consequently backtrack from, in another dull attempt to be noticed.

Moron. I have no desire to be noticed, I just happen to comment on things that I have an opinion on and leave the rest alone. I'd rather do that than add some worthless comment to every thread on the board just to make myself 'one of the crowd'. I'd take a look at your own approach before playing the psychiatrist.

As for Barber, nobody can deny his arrival has coincided with an unhealthy number of price rises across the board. BHAFC are not a big club and do not have a huge fanbase. If you're running Man United, I imagine it's quite easy to charge what you want because you know you have MILLIONS of people out there ready to lap it up, but BHAFC is a far more vulnerable animal. There will be a point where things get too expensive and the thousands of newcomers will realise they are paying over the odds for something that is, to them, just entertainment rather than a passion. Either Gus does the business and we get promoted and everything is rosy, or Barber's legacy will be one of reducing our crowds and ruining all the good work of 2011.

That top paragraph could still easily read as a "LOOK AT ME", as you mention not wanting to be "one of the crowd".

And for the bottom paragraph, you need to point all your complaints at the feet of Tony Bloom. He has installed Barber and will be fully aware of the sort of changes Barber is making. This is BLOOM's call.

Need to get a bookies put in.
Every Premiership club has a betting shop on the concourse - which adds to the matchday experience.
However, I don't know if you can make decent incomes from betting shops - I'm sure an extra food kiosk would probably generate more sales on a matchday than a bookies would.

Secondly, very true, but on that basis surely we can hold Tony Bloom responsible for team selection/tactics/signings too? After all, he's the one who has employed Gus to make these decisions.

I think as you well know that is slightly different. These are BUSINESS decisions, that Tony would understand a lot more and therefore, I expect, have a lot more say in/influence over.

You'd needed to heard Tony Bloom on the unPaxman-esque, but otherwise excellent Albion Roar a few months ago for that one.

Apparently it wouldn't have brought in the kind of revenues to have made it worthwhile, irrespective of the fact that the extra food kiosk has brought in.

Pretty sure you're wrong there. The prices for food and drinks had all gone up to their present levels at Fatboy Slim - before Barber was installed. Pretty sure the price of match tickets would've been decided before he arrived as well. The only price that has definitely changed is a frequent reduction in the price of clothing and merchandise.
