I think that needs a thread of it's own. Happy you like him not all of us like his corporate bullsh1t

What do you expect from the CEO of a multi-million pound business?

Who would you have in his place ?

This is the nub of it. People might not like Barber's corporatism, but he's doing the job he's employed to do. If it wasn't him, it would be someone else. If you don't like it, then the complaints should be aimed towards his boss who has asked him to do his job this way. Problem is - quite understandably - no-one wants to criticise Uncle Tony.

"We are probably just about done" :)
"We have 25 in our squad"

"We're just about there, Jim"
So the door is still a little bit open for something else

Hemed or Skalak could easily drop out to make a place in the 25.

And there is still the Goldson question.

But the pressure is off, and we could go with what we have.

Good position to be in.

Hemed could go out on loan, I'd think Championship clubs would love to have him, he works hard and is a proven goal scorer. Skalak is injured and didn't play when he wasn't, so I see no point in having him in the squad.

The pressure is off a bit, as we needed to get a striker and we've got two. But we really should be strengthening the middle, it's just 3 players for 2 places at the moment, an injury would be a nightmare.

I thought Gross could also play in the middle so 4 for 2, particularly if we went to 2 up top

This thread seems to illustrate something that I've noticed on here for a while - whenever there is criticism of the club for being too corporate and such, it gets aimed at PB. Whenever there is praise to be handed out, it goes to TB.

Of course TB deserves an immense amount of credit and respect, but I don't get why PB gets all the crap he does when he, like everyone else at the club, ultimately does whatever Uncle Tony tells him to do, or at the very least approves of him doing.

To be fair, I think PB gets a lot of praise on this site. Not only for his personal responses to fan emails etc, but for his general running of the club. I took half of the criticism on this thread as piss-taking, as an interview with PB at this stage of the window was always likely to be boring with nothing given away.

Did it quite a bit in Germany I recall.
Fair enough, I didn't know he was capable of putting in the tackles we need in the centre of midfield.
