Paul Barber - first impressions

Definitely this.

The sandal-wearing bitter drinkers have COMPLETELY steam-rollered those of us who drink cider or lager

Did the cider and lager drinkers put much of a fight for a decent pint of both?

Anyone know whether Barber was responsible for the food/drinks contracts at New Wembley? Same sort of transport issues after matches and I would rather stand in a queue in the pouring rain to catch a tube than than pay an inflated price for a pint of Carling and a plastic hot dog.

Wembley is a much different customer experience to the one we are used to at The Amex. It would be a shame if we dropped to Wembley's level.

With a limited capacity, and a strong opposition, you can appreciate the club's thinking.

For this match £30 is steep. For a 27,500-capacity friendly, £30 would have been an outrage.

All I would say is that I think that this price has done Michel Kuipers a bit of a favour.

In summary, you also think it's too expensive?

Trade price of Harveys is about £1.50 a pint.

But its complicated due to the fixed price Azure deal. It's only above a sales threshold that the club get any money directly from beer and pies and even then it's split with Azure.
