Bamford?
So how's it going so far ?Patrick Bamford is a player l have long since liked, scored his fair share of goals pretty much wherever he has been, even forced himself into the England set up a few times.
Now l know we have recently unearthed young Evan Ferguson, and have Danny Welbz too of course, but neither player will play in every game, Evan because he is still a kid and needs to have his games cherry picked for him, and both Danny & Patrick Bamford are somewhat injury prone. With three strikers though it would enable us to play with a ready made goalscoring striker, and not have to rely on any of this "false 9" nonsense that has been prevalent several times this season.
I wonder if Leeds, especially considering his poor recent injury record, might be tempted by a cheeky little bid? Worth testing the water?
RIP this thread? This has started well.
Welbeck was under contract with Watford, they agreed to cancel it so he could move. Can guarantee there's now a thread on the Leeds forum along the lines of .... "now Brighton think they can sign Bamford "
I won't laugh it off on the basis that, it's similar in some ways to us signing Welbeck. Obviously a player there, injury laden career, probably a good influence in the dressing room, but no high hopes from anyone at the time of the signing. The key difference is though, Danny was out of contract. We didn't have to pay someone for him or beat the terms of an existing contract. Also we were desperate for someone, anyone, to put the ball away then. Less so now
He is, at Huddersfield. Hasn't hit double figures in years though. Is Jordan Rhodes still going?
Nah. Leeds would never sell to a European rival ………
I suspect they're a bit puzzled as to why we haven't tot a 14 page #FreePatrickBamford thread on the go - bless their little woolly heads.....Can guarantee there's now a thread on the Leeds forum along the lines of .... "now Brighton think they can sign Bamford "
