Now this is fine. And I hope the owner is some sort of Frank Worthington alike and lives in a council house stuffed full of Presley memorabilia.

 No, a very wealthy business man, or was the last time i had any contact with him.

One of the reasons for buying it was well as being a big Elvis fan was to put it on a Pink Cadillac and hire out for wedding etc, but fell foul of the DVLA rules.
As the caddy was a 59 vintage, and the “S” registration of the Elvis plate being a 1976 registration, you can’t put a newer registration on an older car as this would make a car for 1959 look like it was registered in 1976 and hence could fraudulently sell it as a newer car !

Last I heard it was on a Land rover freelander.

In my defence, I was left unsupervised.

The best one I've seen was on a Porsche 911 turbo and was simply...

TUR80

:clap2:
I was overtaken by a 911 a few years ago with the number HOT 911.

Does anybody else remember Ron, the landlord of the Bridge in Shoreham in the 1980s? He used to drive round in a white Roller with the numberplate RON 1 It wasn't actually the registration of the car - he just felt it looked good!

I think GU55 BHA is available for about £1000 if anyone wants to get Gus a nice xmas prezzy.

It's a shame the boss does not spell his name with two s's. Otherwise this would be cool.

Mmmm 6/10 I think. The HOT is a bit tenuous.

Way back, saw a white Volkswagen Rabbit with the license, IM8 IM8 IM8

see if you can figure that one out, when I eventually did I thought it quite clever.

Is it true Bobby Sands had 80 80 80 as a plate?

"Well we've both seen your personalised reg plates,
and it's not the worst crime, I agree.
But we both know full well,
It really should spell,
T-W-A-T O-N-E"

(Half Man Half Biscuit - works better when it's sung, as the letters are spoken one by one).
