Yes, great service - my renewal took just 6 days. Probably the most awkward part of the process was getting the photo right (which I did on my phone rather than photo booth). It took a few attempts because the photo can’t have any shadow.

I look forward to renewing in 2031 in the hope that I finally have a passport that gets me with through the ePassport gate at Gatwick and not having to join the (long) manual checking queue.

Gatwick’s not the problem. It’s all those friggin gates in the EU where EU passport holders sail through + anyone lucky enough to have discovered an Irish grandparent and we are in the queue that snakes round the block with John and Marjory who still think Brexit was a good idea.

Don't hold your breath. I waited for 10 years for a new passport to solve that problem and the new one doesn't go through them either!
