Passport photo for Babies ?

Do i just get it done in a photo booth or are there specialist places ?

Anywhere around Shoreham/Worthing would be great.

I met a couple in Goa a few years back who had twins when they were in India - they must of been only a week old. They couldn't get back into the UK because the kids didn't have passports. They were in the process of arguing with the British consulate about it. Never found out if they got back.

I wouldn't use a booth for a young baby, they can be best lying down. Lots of high street photo shops will do it for you, like Jessops. They'll take the pic and print it there.

I got the little champ 7's done at sainsburys booth when he was 9 months,a bit of a chore with all the rules that have to be adhered to,to make it a legal photo,but it was fine in the end.

Be careful we sent of a pic of our new born taken by the people who visit the hospitals and they sent it back coz it had shoulders on it, the fact all new borns look very similar didnt come into it.
On another matter our 4year old was refused a passport initially, he was born here in UK with a Hungarian mother, and me being English the father, they said that he should apply fos a Hungarian passport i had to get the MP involved and eventually they gave him a UK passport loads of hassle though

Go to a photo shop where they should have a white sheet they lay on the floor and put the baby on when taking the picture. It worked with mini drebin. She lay still and didn´t pull a stupid face, although she may have been a bit stunned by the flash on the camera. She was only 3 months old.

They insist eyes have 2 be open as well

Apparently Timpsons do baby passport photos and have bean bags for baby to lay on while the photo is taken

If you are in the Brighton area their is a photo shop at the bottom St James' Street that will do them for you (sorry but the name of the shop escapes me)

Thanks for the replies, i went to Jessops in Worthing, they were very good and the boys both actually played ball for the camera !!

How long does a 1st time passport take ? Were hoping to go away on 19th Dec.
