I think that given time he will become a good AM not so sure about filling the No10 role (whatever that is) as per Sam Baldock or being a support striker. I am sure he will be at his best coming from deep to attack.

That was always said about CMS except we always claimed 'once CMS has a decent number 10 playing next to him, he'll start turning it on'. Once that number 10 was finally brought in (Ulloa) CMS was dropped.

Very good with space in front of him and options to pick out, pretty poor with his back to the goal I think. Needs to get used to the physicality and desperately needs pacy outlets around him. I get the impression he's more suited to playing a bit deeper at the tip of a midfield three, rather than a number 10.

He looked amazing in pre-season. Genuinely surprised he hasn't featured more in the league games.
Maybe this has more to do with not having a midfield pairing that have gelled yet, than whether he will be able to adapt to the Prem.

He looks like he hasn't come to terms with the physicality of the Premier League yet.

As has already been said, he needs pace around him as he doesn't have a lot himself, which isn't a complaint.

I think we may have to define our terms here. Ulloa was a number nine in my eyes. CMS was a support striker played out of position.

Sorry, I'm more used to saying 'Deep lying centre forward'. That's where I'd say Ulloa's natural position was. CMS was a striker who played off the shoulder. He was reliant on being feed through. Sadly, we sort of expected CMS to feed himself which he clearly wasn't good enough to do.

He is a fantastic player who is suffering from the lack of quality in our team. When our first team is available, and we're not playing against a top 8 side, you'll see his sheer class and quality. I have no question at all that he's a wonderful player, clearly Premier League quality. Maybe he's struggling to impose himself at the moment but we've had a tough start and the whole team is taking time to adapt. I think the whole team is going to be stronger against West Brom at the Amex in a couple of weeks.

Of more concern is propper . I'm not sure his style is suited to the premier league.

I am thinking we shouldn't be judging players after three games. There seems to be a decision among some on here to criticise our summer signings already. Ryan should be replaced, Propper is terrible, Gross is too slow. In the same way you can't judge the league table until 10 games are gone, the same should be the case for new signings, especially ones who have never played in England before.

I look forward to post West Brom match when people inevitably write off our new striker(s) as they've not scored.

In precisely the same way as some on here only need to see a thirty second video clip of some unknown prospective new signing to declare how brilliant he is, and how we must break the bank to get him. None of us will know how good or otherwise a player is, until he has played at least a dozen games for us.
