I am beyond sad at this.

look at the midfielders we have let go in the last few years.

time will tell if we now have better players than those Who have gone.

Just wonderful we had a player of that quality in our team so long. Happy for him, he deserves to move where he wants after serving us so well. Will miss the Cruyff turns, pin point crosses and the smile that wasn't quite a smile. Top of the Albion wall of legends. Exciting to 'operation midfield rebuild' under way.

He’s still alive!

To put some perspective here (and I can’t be bothered to trawl NSC) but there were many on here who wanted him binned (and Solly) before Potter adapted our style of play to suit Gross and Solly and then RDZ took it to another level.

We’ve had a few great years of Gross and who knows what’s around the corner. A chance for someone else to break through and shine.

Sussex but not by the sea
He's 33, gone to his boyhood club and we've made a profit!!

Taking the emotion out of it he was starting to show signs of decline, the EPL is probably the most unforgiving top division in the world in terms physical fitness. Hopefully he'll have a couple of good years in Germany.

All the best Pascal and thanks for the memories. I do hope that he comes back to say goodbye properly at some point.

Such a shame we didn't have the chance to give him the send-off he deserves. He'll be missed for sure - in some ways quite a unique player and very difficult to replace.

Without a doubt the best player my generation have witnessed in the stripes.

An absolute travesty that we never managed to get a proper song going for him - never too late though..!

When he joined us we were fledglings. So timid it was November before we tried a long crossfield ball in the middle of the park.

When he left we were disappointed to have not finishished in the top ten. Again.

Three of our top three highest ever finishes came in the last three years.

Danke, Raumdeuter. Mit den besten Grüßen.

Wishing him the best and thanking him for being one of our best ever players but bloody hell reading some posts on here you’d be forgiven for thinking that somebody had died

We got the best of him, onwards and upwards.

Always the first player selected in my Fantasy League team. I need a Plan B now.

I wish you nothing but success Pascal.
