If we really did take Parkinson by surprise, as he says. Then he should be sacked instantly, as he clearly is not doing his job properly and watching how the opposition play the game. What a :tosser:

Charlton won't sack him. They can't afford to, they couldn't find anyone better with the money they don't have either.

“We have to play the situation and put balls into the danger area but not over commit players and whatever the score, it’s important that we go off the pitch with some pride and respectability but at 4-0 down we didn’t do that."

Didn't he take one of his defenders off for an attacking player at 2-0?

No. It was a double substitution (defender for defender, forward for forward) but our stadium announced the striker as the player coming on both times.

Can't underestimate how crucial Calderon and Painter are in providing the width to the team in this formation. They played as wing backs but we didn't have to play a 5th defender to compensate as they were covering the flanks from box to box themselves, brilliant stuff

Absolutely spot on. Calderon and Painter were great getting forward (and back) on Saturday. Charlton couldn't cope with them.

spent a very happy hour reading their board this morning. in fairness most of their fans thought we performed well whilst slagging Parkinson for being tactically inept.
