I agree about helping the club out my appeal against parking tickets is based entirely on those issued either in shopping centres etc in everyday situations and not related to football parking at all.

... They'll be starting along The A27 next, old and new.
The A27 and the old A27 are Clearways and are signed as such. The old A27 (now the A270, Lewes Road) has only been a Clearway since the City Council introduced the Clearway Order at the start of this football season. It restricts stopping and parking along the entire length of the A270 from the junction with the A27 to Natal Road. Clearway Orders don't need yellow lines to be enforced.

The A27 Clearway Order was made, years ago, by the Highways Agency, which is responsible for trunk roads.

Which side of the city / county boundary was this? Were the wardens wearing Brighton & Hove uniforms or East Sussex County Council uniforms?
This!! If anyone got a ticket make sure you were issued the ticket by the correct authority as the border between lewes and brighton criss crosses this road all the way down - have a look on a map - you might get away with it. A brighton warden can't issue a ticket in Lewes and vice versa.

You obviously think that parking wardens and highway authorities are stupid. They're not.

Alternatively respect the fact you have responsibilities and stop weaselling your way through life at the cost of others?

Exactly.
Parking restrictions have never solely been just about stopping danger.
Laybyes for South Downs walkers, or for cars on A27 where drivers having a brief rest or car broken down, were not intended for lazy and/or tight-fisted Albion fans.
Was only a matter of time before Police or Attendants clamped down on the lazy. Great.

Or insteading of looking for loopholes, don't be lazy or tight ... park in one of the many car parks, use bus or train, cycle, or get family to drop off.

The City Council are, of course, also monitoring the football club's compliance with the planning conditions for the stadium. This includes the Transport Management Plan, which no doubt commits the Club to ensuring that all parking near the ground, including on-street parking, is monitored and controlled. The people who have most experience of monitoring parking are the Parking Wardens. It may be that all these wardens were doing was collecting information and that there is no intention to do anything other than analyse it and check out the extent to which actual levels of on-street parking is meeting the requirements of the planning permission.

If anyone is found to be parking where they shouldn't, they may not be fined. The Club may well have difficulties, though.

Could they refuse to sell you any more tickets/season tickets? Isn't one of the conditions that you act in a responsible manner when attending matches or some such?

I guess they (ie the Club) could. It's not as if there is a shortage of people wanting to get match tickets, who would be only too happy to see a few more seats become available.

They are, thats why they are traffic wardens

The dimwits are the chancers and cheats who get tickets, pay fines, and valuable waste life getting excited by the appeals procedure. Hilarious.

The Councils, Police and attendants are stopping mayhem.

You obviously think that parking wardens and highway authorities are stupid. They're not.

My experience of the Brighton appeals process, the arguments the council officers put forward at my face to face appeal and the fact they deemed to send TWO officers in an attempt to bully me ( along with the very bullying letters ) suggest otherwise.
