Hello one and all.
I have to go to the RSCH ( or possibly the Princess Royal Hospital Haywards Heath) for some scans in the near future, prior to an op on an Aortic Abdominal Aneurysm. Never been there before, so am seeking advice on the parking situation at the hospital. Is it a nightmare and would I be wiser to take the train from Chichester to Brighton and then a taxi to and from the hospital?
Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Parking at RSCH I'd a nightmare. The car park in the hospital fills up very early in the day and the surrounding streets usually fill-up too. I think train and taxi is a good idea.

Haywards Heath is different. In my limited experience the car park there usually has spaces.

train would be more restful. there are usually plenty of cabs at the hozzie too when you need to get back to the station. if you have to drive, go to HH

Your train and taxi plan is the best solution. Takes all the stress away, which given the circumstances is a big plus. I wouldn’t drive to RSCH personally under any circumstances.

Yes. Parking is a nightmare. You could possibly drive and park for free at the Marina - then get a cab from there. Just a thought. Not sure how long the Marina parking limits are though. Others may know.

For RSCH I’d drive and park at the Marina then jump on a 7 bus to the hospital. Same in reverse afterwards. Cheaper/easier than train and taxi plus free parking at Marina.

If you need to go to the RSCH I would park (free) in the multi-storey in the Marina and get a bus or taxi up to the hospital.

Good point, don’t park in the ASDA car park, the limit is 2 hours and they have parking company covert cameras policing it.

Anyone can park in the multi storey in the Marina for as long as they like.

There are no barriers or enforcement cameras. Guest houses suggest their guests park there over the weekend.

When I had to frequently visit the RSCH I used to park in the very top level of the multi story, it's uncovered and then walk to the RS, only takes about 20 mins. Never once did I get a ticket and was there frequently and often for more than 4 hours.
