I must say that it's weird that they couldn't calculate how much disruption there'd be.

Still, it's good ammunition to use against any idiot who still thinks that there's no need for a new stadium and that Withdean can be expanded.

Has any one thought of Lewes Road, opposite the park and ride site that is in operation now, which is disused at the moment, i believe it was the old TA site.

Also good ammuniation for any idiot who wants to claim we couldn't calculate how much disruption a stadium would bring.....

Hardly anyone used the Craden Avenue site any way. Me and my Dad were the only people on the bus on the way to the last match.

On NSC for over two decades...
What you also have to bear in mind is that it does take a while for people to get used to roads being closed on certain days and then compensating for it. It took ages for people to realise that the 'Road Closed' signs on Mill Road meant that it really was closed, and you still get the odd idiot who hasn't quite worked the concept out yet!

More than the odd few, it seems like every other car hasn't read the signs and carried on up only to have to turn round and go back!

There's congestion near ASDA in the run up to Christmas?

Is that a surprise to anyone?

No worries ... LET'S BLAME THE ALBION.

As for alan917's suggestion about using the old Preston Barracks site, that simply doesn't have enough space any more - ever since it was remodelled as the trenches of northern France, with a view to keeping the travellers out. Trust me on this ... I work there.

I wonder if the locals who objected to the park and ride had anything to do with the congestion.

Just a thought, as I remember the urban myth about the residents of Ditchling parking awkwardly on the B2212 on purpose to cause congestion to traffic and encourage people not to drive through their village.

Probably mentioned before but would Waterhall be a suitable site for park and ride? We wouldn't be building anything there so that bit wouldn't matter.

What about schools? They're not in use on weekends or evenings, they all tend to have carparks for teachers and also playing areas for children that could be parked on?

There's got to be SOMEWHERE that has a load of land kicking about that we can shove a few cars on every other week.

It's a shame, but not a big problem at the moment thanks to this clever footwork by the club.
