It would be awful if this telephone got rang for no apparent reason all afternoon long.....

Funny. But harsh.

I don't think we really have any problem with Steve Browett. Just a fan who bought his club, and now gives us a few laughs with his internet spats. Long may they continue :lolol:

Although he did once embarrassingly call us 'scum' on the BBS, which then amusingly made the papers :lolol:

That is a very valid point. Maybe I should let people post shit and go and sit in the garden.
I thought that reply was quite endearing tbh. I still admire his optimism for thinking regular direct contact on a football forum will bring you closer to the fans. He will almost certainly abandon it one day, surprised he hasn't already.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I think their motivation is probably admirable although they are coming across as complete fools. Perhaps they have the same advisor as Luis Suarez?

Steve Browett set this up with the intention of answering questions from fans. Lately, a few spats have occurred , and maybe nows the time to stop posting on there, and have a break.
It's a shame that a few "fans" have spoilt what was a good idea.

The problem is the conversational nature of doing it. A question and answer forum like we have with Insider is fine and workable. A free for all that allows widespread discussion just makes the bloke and your club look completely tin pot. That and your tin pot ground. And tin pot goal music. And tin pot kit. And tin pot manager. And tin pot Croydon. And tin pot fans. And tin pot announcing of the goal scorer. And tin pot tin paint all over your ground.

So on reflection maybe he is well suited :)

It's only a good idea if

1: you never have a dip in form. Ever
2: you don't appoint a carrot crunching jethro as manager
3: You dont have hair like Nicky fecking Clarke

Anyone without the massive ego to massage would have been able to see the way it would pan out. The bloke is a complete arse. Still, we are all laughing our tits off, so every cloud eh? :lolol:

Here we go again

Post no.248 onwards, Brownett gives out his phone number to sort out the truth.
Great stuff.

6,600 posts from CPFC2010 in THREE YEARS?! Dear God that's some serious dedication...
What sort of losers post over 6,000 (yep, six thousand) posts on a message board
Oh
I would LOVE IT, just LOVE IT if chairman Nigel signed up on this forum to try and defend himself.

Could you imagine?
Actually, they might get more support here than on their own board.

'Zaha going for a low fee'
Unbelievable isn't it.

Arguing with fans on a message board is so unbelievably stupid it defies belief. But that aside, I have a strange soft-spot for CPFC2010  They have given the club a chance of promotion, they have got great money for Zaha and kept him (it's not their fault he's been shit since his England call up), they are losing their own money in a bid to give the club a chance - and what do they get in return - insults  I love being with football fans at a game, but damn they're annoying.

It's a good idea though to have beambacks for some games, I know we did it for the Palace game, but I wonder whether there will be one for Play off away leg? (if we make it)

And maybe some games next season?

there would be no need. All the play off semi-final ties will be live on Sky.
