Withdean area
Palace do an Arsenal with their attendance figures and add all STH's as attending, we don't.

That's interesting.
Desperate PR stunt, to mask the sinking ship.
Borne out by swathes of empty seats each time they're on the League One Show.

They have one good player though, coz all you hear is "Spironi makes yet another save", or "this time Spironi is beaten".
Do the rest of the team turn up?

What I don't understand about this whole argument is...

Yes, our attendances are dwindling, but yours were shit at the Withdean too, and before you say the capacity was low, you can't forget that you weren't even selling out most games!

If we got a new ground, our attendances too would rise dramatically, whether that be through floating supporters or plastics, I don't particularly care, so you can't say that you have better support just because this season, in the circumtances, you're getting bigger attendances than us.

Before you lot complain about not going to the Withdean because it was a shit ground, what sort of excuse is that? You sing 'Albion till I die', then you decide not to watch your beloved team play because the grounds got a racing track around it?

So all I'm saying is, yes, I wish that our attendances were better, but I don't really understand why you're making such a big deal over it. Ultimately, we're similarly sized clubs with similar numbers of hardcore support, floating support and, potentially for us at least, new found support.

We have been through the hard times and re built. The key words now are infastructure and growth. We have said the if's for many years, you are now in that situation.

How would you describe your infastructure at the moment? I'm not being funy, your post was honest and so is mine!

Well i'm afraid I am such a 'stupid pikey' (Or actually am I a nerdy Nigel? I think you lot need to sort this out becuase we're getting conflicting personas here and it's all very confusing) so please can you enlighten me as to why your award winning mega super duper stadium is wonky. Thank you.

Nigel O'Doherty.

Is it because it has 3 tiers that you call it wonky? Again you are very much clinging onto anything. You have a f*cking Sainsburys stuck on the end of your ground.     And you take the piss

1. It is designed this way to maximise the noise inside and reduced the noise from escaping the stadium.

2. Also the West stand is higher than the East stand because during the summer, when the sun is at its highest point, the West stand blocks the glare out.

We certainly will see.

Regarding parking, if I were you I'd either do the Park & Ride off Lewes Rd; find a spot close to the No.25 Bus Route &, errrr, get the bus up & back; or find out where your own support are intending to gather en-masse (Brighton Rail St?) & go up to the ground with them (& possibly a Police escort).

Thank you, ill look up the no 25 routes, I'll do without the police escort though, I cant see anyone starting .... never know I suppose

I appreciate a Brighton fan who's not trying to be smart and snide for no apparent reason.

Our ground is in dire straits to put it lightly. Personally, I love the atmosphere that is generated, particularly from the Arthur Wait stand (the away fans are situated to the right of this) and of course I have a bond towards Selhurst, but almost all Palace fans are in agreement that either drastic investment in Selhurst is needed (which is highly unlikely to go through) or a move. The Main Stand has pretty much stood there, unaltered, since the ground was put up, and we have drain leakages, pigeon nesting etc.

A move would be great in rejuvinating our image and attendances. Bringing us back to our birthplace, and creating a ground that, similarly to yours, can be grown if we ever reach the poisoned chalice of the Premiership.

Massive success that poster campaign eh? You shifted nearly 9000 season tickets I hear.

Your average tickets sales are bound to peak on the back of a promotion and new arena, thats just gonna happen at any clob but once things return to normal and people get pissed of with the lack of infastruture and you have a bad run which will happen gus poyet fucks off to a bigger and better club lets say someone like Palace but no thanks our manager is sound then the hard core support will only remain and i'd say if you stay in the championship (forget premiershite that aint happening IMHO WEST HAM, MIDDLEBOROUGH, LEICESTER) for a sustained period of time and with an average crowd of 11000 max your chairmen will only see his debt getting larger then its sell sell sell and bye bye bye to the bumboys from the beach back down to the lower end of the football league which if were gonna be honest about it is about right......grammer police get a life and f*** off i cant be arsed it doesnt make you any smarter than me trust me it dont ;) bye for now ladies

I used to live in Croydon, hence my username. A mate worked for an accountant and said they counted the STH's in attendances figures they submitted. Arsenal and loadsa others do the same.

I've heard almost the opposite. Certainly in administration, we would lower the official attendance so we wouldn't have to pay extra tax. But you may be right, I couldn't say for certain.

The architects decided that a healthy amount of asymmetry was desirable if the stadium was to endure as a hot topic of discussion amongst our good friends at The Design Council. Innit.

Design! :D 'Gok Wan' style? :D

No, just leave your ill-concealed fantasies to the side for a moment. It's really hurting for you lot, all this, isn't it? 25 years of having the upper hand, and all of a sudden now it's your cup final. Which you probably need to win, or we'll be gone.

In a field?

Yes.

Yes with undulating surroundings, ya see what happens with modern stadiums is there actually designed, and the whole point of the amex was to blend it with the surrounding area.
When you there ya might realise what im talking about, but then again you probably wont, as ya seem a bit hell bent on putting Brighton down

Debts? We don't have any debts or loans to a bank, it is all fronted by our chairman, unlike your board, who prolly have morgaged all their own properties few times over.

Even our new £20 million training facility/academy is gonna be funded by our chairman from his own pockets, no loans needed there either.
