It's ****ing brilliant this.

"Against Modern Football" cry the Palace fans as they stand in their corner, all blacked up and chanting their chants. "Price of football is ridiculous" cry the Palace fans as they stand in their corner, all blacked up and chanting their chants.

As soon as a rich yank comes along, you'd have thought with the ultra culture their fans have adopted as a form of resistance against the corporate, bland and profit driven motive; you'd have expected questioning. What we have seen from the Palace faithful is not silence, but gloating. Gleefully rubbing their hands that they have a sugar daddy to help fulfil their European dreams. Highlighting the Albion's debt whilst ignoring one crucial difference between our debt and their's.

Ours is owed to a single man who has the club quite clearly at his heart. Your debt is to American investors and these investors won't be the Glaziers or the Fenway Sports Group kind, but likely to be the Villa kind. When they get bored and they will, because Palace does not have the foundations that Man United and Liverpool respectively have, it will end in tears and your ultras will be back out on the street with their flares crying for help to save their club.

The hypocrisy is brilliant.

I'm not gloating, a question was asked, and I answered it !

I wonder when all their banners will come out against the Americans then. Presumably they're feverishly putting them together as we speak.

Possible, but maybe they will have to cut back a little on players wages do you think?

I think there is scope for wage growth at Palace. Their last wage bill was £46 million, the lowest in the division, compared to the PL average of £95 million.

The Americans aren't doing it for the love of it, they see it as a way of getting a good return on their money.
The new TV deal kicks in next season, so clubs will be awash with money.
I'm a passionate Palace fan, and trust Steve Parish to do his best for the club, but I'm not that nieve to think there won't be risks.

Parish has stated that this seasons wage bill will be around £70 mill , stated before any January signings

That's his prediction for this season.
There's scope for that with the increase of revenue.

So with those figure next season, if wages don't go up they could have £50 mill towards a new ground .

Less than that, there are other overheads to consider as well. They did however make a profit of nearly £18 million last year.

.

Like this you mean, they hate Sky sports, but like El Pres states this TV money could finance their ground.
