I'm surprised that our Palace friends don't think that the women are just there to make sure the men's kit is washed and ready for matchday.

Get your house right and support the women the way a proper club should.

The Palace ladies manager has tweeted it’s just a standard player sponsorship they do every season like all clubs, an opportunity for players to put themselves out there to local companies or potential sponsors.
A non story blown up out of all proportion by our south coast chums ( surprise surprise)

South coast chums - or several national media outlets?

What’s the palace managers name and why does he get extra characters on twitter?

Crystal Palace 2010s finances must be in a far worse state than has been rumoured, only one cash signing in August, only one cash signing in January, and only one cash signing last August. Then, going to the extent of having their Womens reserve team on a pay to play basis.
No sign of the 100 milion 'ringfenced' for the mythical Amex tribute stand, financial reports late, and, even poor old Roy telling them they haven't got a pot to piss in.

Happy Days!!

In a foul mood today and this post has cheered me right up! Thanks!

Palace ladies are not full time professionals, therefore it is amateur. Oh don't tell me I'm somehow wrong again as you declare it to be so.
I'm surprised five live haven't snapped you up if I'm honest with the knowledge and expertise that you have.

Palace Ladies are semi-professional footballers. It's one of the stipulations of being in the second tier of women's football.

Jesus wept, you're easy to pick off.

You couldn't pick a winner in a one horse race.

You originally started off arguing one point and are now arguing something else. You originally started by blaming CPFC, when in fact they are separate entities. Either way, the ladies are required to pay subs or gain sponsorship of £250. This has always been and will be raised by various groups.

It is quite normal to have player sponsorship, I don't know how usual it is to ask the Ladies to go out and get it themselves though, and to tell them if they can't get sponsorship, to front the money themselves or not be included.

A totally meaningless post.

It's you who keeps changing the subject. For a start, you've spent a lot of time trying to convince yourself it's such a non-story. We know there is a story, which is why it's being discussed. Just because you're not interested in your own club's ongoing financial issues, it doesn't follow that those who matter - i.e. those involved - aren't either.

Additionally, it's not good form for a semi-professional set-up within the club for the players to have to find sponsorship, when it is the responsibility of the sponsorship staff to do that.

Thick as shit

Meanwhile, back in the real world, CPLFC refer to Crystal Palace FC as their 'parent club'. I haven't made that up, it's what they say. I can't help it if you don't believe that. If your best response is to say 'thick as shit' - as if that has any meaning here - you don't really have a great deal to contribute to this, with the exception your ongoing, 'I don't give a shit about women's football' white noise.

Thick as shit

Hold on a second. This is the same Swills who was complaining about people becoming insulting when proved wrong just the other day (despite the fact that he's never once proved anyone wrong on this forum).

Anyway, after getting yet another schooling, he's reverted to hypocritical type yet again. It's very sad.

It's obvious I'm not going to convince you so I will just give up. But for the last time CPFC and CPFCL are two separate entities.
It is a non story as it has been like this for a long time and every club in the league they play in raise their own sponsorship, though I have read apart from maybe Man U.
So it's a non story as far as you are trying to point it to us having financial difficulties, they have been raising their own sponsorship for god knows how long. One of their sponsors is one of our investor's. I suppose that every club in that league is having financial difficulties then?
As for me saying you are thick as shit is irrelevant, so is you calling me an airhead.
When I say I don't really give a shit about women's football, that's just me being honest. Let's face it not a lot of people do, otherwise the question of them raising £250 per player would not even be discussed.

I was not the one who started with the insult. I have not been schooled as he is wrong. Apart from that carry on Pike.

Exactly.
sad thing is it would probably take just ONE first team male player to donate a weeks wages to cover their women's team costs for the whole season .... surely there is enough 'honourable' players there to chip in and pay the costs of the women's team

But there is an article on the Palace website that says they are funded almost entirely by CPFC. We now know why it’s almost entirely. So they may well be a separate company but they finances appear to be very tightly linked with CPFC 2010.
