Seriously, get a grip people.

This Palace bullshit has always mystified me. They’re just another rival team in the division, a bit like Bournemouth or Forest.

The only team I get agitated about is Chelsea.

Here’s an idea, you continue with your agitation of Chelsea with no one voicing an opinion on it, while fifty something gripless wonders like me will continue this bullshit with a club geographically* and historically closest to us.

I think if you talk to most people under 50 as well, they would also be more than happy to carry on a rivalry with the closest historically and geographically club to us, as most people understand the club and culture of Brighton, rather than some plastic rivalry with a team that has no historical association with us, because football only started in 1992 and Brighton only came into existence in 2017.

For the first time in five years or so my worry is not losing to them but losing because we deserve to. On recent form they might actually be better than us.

I hope that this is the game where we finally put in a 90 minute performance rather than for a. half. or. 220 or 30 minute. Put in a 90 minute performance and blow the pricks away.

They aren't better than us.

They may be in better form,. but they've managed 7 pts from their last 6 games whilst we've taken 8.

I think that's what I said. Although I was looking at the last 3 or 4 games rather than 6 and was looking at performances. Ours have been sub par while they've looked alright.

And it's why I want us to put in a 90 minute performance because if we do we'll beat them. Man for man, squad for squad we're better. Our best is better than their best. We just haven't hit our best much or for long.

£500 on Palace to win at 16/5.

I’d happily take the hit to the pocket if we put one over the pikeys, on the same note, I have £2,100.00 to drink myself into a coma if we lose.

Five hundred? I know people that do this for a tenner or a score, myself included, but if this was Moulsecoomb Middle School c1979 the term “chin rub” would be applicable 🤣

Palace fans more accepting of the draw than we are.

Easy to say when you are not fully invested
Easy to do when you're not afraid of f***ing Crystal Palace.

Might win, might lose. Taking a point before the game is utterly tinpot. Its not Liverpool or Arsenal.

To be honest, I'd be happy to forget all about Palarse.

If they get relegated this season, I'd feel much the same as I would if a slightly annoying neighbour moved house to far, far away.

A win against City, Liverpool, Chelsea, or Villa is much more satisfying than one against Palace. A defeat against Palace is as bad as it gets though…imo
