I was at that game and a Palace fan jumped into the directors box and swung a haymaker at Ron Noades, one of the funniest sights i have ever seen

name the scorers in the 9-0 defeat to Liverpool?
Who scored the winning goal in the 1990 FA cup final replay?

He'll like that. After all it was the game that led to the purchase of Nigel Martyn and Andy Thorn, a cup final and a third place league finish. Hysen, Gillespie, Nicol(2), Rush, Aldridge (pen), Beardsley, McMahon, Barnes.

A better question is probably, which three didn't score (Grobelaar, Hansen and Whelan) or who missed a pen for Palace (Thomas).

Of course, he won't like the second one, but it's better than losing a replay 4-0.

One football club attracted a league gate of over 51,000. Only 6 years later, just 4,005 turned up to a league game at the same club.

This unbelievable display of fickleness was to be seen at which club?
a) Reading's hot dog-munching clackerstick army
b) Newcastle "haway the lads (while we're not shit)" United
c) Crystal "it's a bit chilly tonight for your average Nigel" Palace

First one must be a) or b). Matthew Simmons (sic) supports Fulham.

Second one is b), or none of them if you count the fa cup games.

But actually SJ, is there any club out there who have ever displayed such an amazing level of fickleness as your fans?

51k to 4k in 6 seasons?

No I don't think so.
