Palace, I hate to say it but you are doing it RIGHT.

Will be doing similar in regards to Dunk, Bridcutt and Noone?

Agreed... We need to adopt similar tactics to protect our young, promising player assets...

How soon is now?
Its irrelevant what value Palace rate him at, it just means he'll possibly be sold for 2M. Bolton valued Gary Cahill at 25M and now it seems he's going to Chelsea for 7M....
Regardless of their preceived value if we don't have to sell these players, and they don't want to leave then we just say no thanks, and go aboit our business as normal

As I said the other night if he is worth £10m then LuaLua must be worth £20m!

And how do any of you lot know what we are asking for?? You are basing your opinions based on newspaper speculation. So far the only bids we've had for any of our players we've had are for Cook which I think we did well out of the deal given he's only played a handful of games and Noone which we took for exactly what it was.....an insult!

I'm not so sure it is right. Palace could potentially piss off Zaha who might be looking to move onto better things. It's not much fun having an unhappy player in the squad.

All this 'unhappy player' stuff is BS... he just signed a 5 yr contract, so he has committed himself to the scum... he has no right to be unhappy if his club then work to protect their assets...

It is not meaningless to put a high price on a good player... it says "FCUK OFF" to potential buyers, which is what we should be telling Lambert and co...

Bennett last season? If a player knows he is being targeted by teams at a higher level then he'll most likely want to move for better wages and to play on a bigger stage, if the club doesn't let him go then he'll begin to get pissed off and not play to his full potential...

It's done to appease the fans, they would bite someone's hand off at £5m

Just because it hasn't happened publicly, doesn't mean it hasn't, or won't happen by Bloom giving their chairman a simple phonecall and saying he's not for sale. It's the proper way of doing it, rather than through the media

Yea just like Bennett who was delighted to sign a new contract and a few weeks later put in a transfer request as soon as a higher placed club puts in a bid

This means he is for sale, its tantamount to a transfer listing. clubs who want him know they need to offer say £5m plus a appearance bonus for a few more £'m and a sell on.
