It sounds like he’s got other interests outside of football where this outstanding debt has occurred , similar to the Glenn Murray situation possibly.

Is this an actual bankruptcy, or one of those 'avoid paying out as much as I have to' tactical bankruptcies where the person's actual wealth is protected elsewhere?

Maybe he's creatively offloaded all his money so the private prosecution has nothing to go after..............................

The actual position is that he is NOT bankrupt. An individual voluntary arrangement puts assets and his future income into an arrangement for his creditors and under the care of an authorised insolvency practitioner and the Court.

As others have said, he’s not bankrupt.
Maybe NSC’s financial guru knew this, but just declared him bankrupt anyway ?.
He won’t be the first or last player to have problems with HMRC.

Interesting these cases are now coming to light and there is a link between them all, isn’t there?

I’m sure you’ll work it out

Oh I see, you’re referring to our previous administrations ?
Can’t see the link with that and individual players having problems.
It’s normally down to being badly advised by “tax experts” and tax avoidance schemes.

It looks more like who they went into business with than taking bad advice from "tax experts".

Good to see him back. His accident was pretty bad. Plenty of time for Papa Smurf to earn a few quid for later life

Think the link is a bit more basic than that. It’s “Crystal Palace”.

More than a slight chance the players have the same advisers as the club, or use those recommended by the club...perhaps Mssrs Shyster and Ripoff, (un)chartered accountants, Purley Way ?
