Palace, always and forever. I and all my family hate the scum with a passion. It's time to rub their nasty south London noses in the dirt, time to put the over-spending, business ruining, Murray employing, over-promoted, sub-Crawley chancers in their place. The mighty stripes will destroy them.

As a Brighton fan, Palace. As a football fan, Liverpool.

Exactly this. I'm incredibly excited for the Liverpool game and would be more proud of our team than I ever have before if we beat Liverpool, and what a special night it would be. But all it means is progression to the Round of 16 in a cup that I personally wouldn't have much time for if the Albion weren't in it.

Losing to Liverpool is almost expected (though I believe we can beat any team at the moment), but losing to Palace would be unbearable humiliation that would last until the return leg at Selhurst.

This is why cup games are not appealing, why would i as a brighton fan want to go to the amex to admire liverpool players?

Good to admire some other football and players. Not a black and white thing for me of I must despise all other 91 clubs and their players.
Obviously want Albion to win & win, and hope are promoted within next 2 years.
Saving all or nothing tension for Palace, Saints, etc.

"Who do you want to beat most" & "which game are you most looking forward to" are two totally different questions.

As I said in my previous post the Liverpool game is infinitely more appealing than the Palace game so I am much more looking forward to that. The Palace game though is more important to win if for nothing else than if we lose we'll have Palace fans taking the piss for ages. With Liverpool we are expected to lose so wont have to endure any pisstaking.

Love us to beat Liverpool but tbh it just doesn't register compared to Palace. Anyone who doesn't understand the rivalry will certainly understand when the game commences.

I think the atmosphere that night will be absolutely electric and full of tension, something I haven't felt at a Brighton match since the Goldstone days.

Liverpool is a nice distraction...but quite frankly i don't want us distracted!!!! With Leicester, Leeds and Palace in the league i hope Gus takes the sensible option and rests key players against Liverpool. Sorry if this makes me a pragmatist rather than a romantic

for me i'm sitting on the fence

liverpool - just to see how far we have come and how good we are against a "big 4" team (against spurs and sunderland i thought we played really well and showed that we belong in the same league as them)

Palace - this game means everything, loads at stake especially bragging rights, i think the better atmosphere will be at this game because i for one don't want to be outdone by the pikey looting scum

The Liverpool game should be a great night. A chance to see how we do against a top team and see some world class players at the Amex. Party atmosphere where losing isn't the end of the world.

However, it has to be the Palace game for most anticipated. We are well and truly on the rise with a new stadium, fantastic manager, and great squad and haven't been in such a good position to turn over our main rivals for some time. After all our positive moves, can you imagine if we then lost to our rivals? We'd never live it down, especially if we got something against Liverpool and Leeds, and Palace were the first team to beat us at home in a competitive game?

Palace... and every league match over Liverpool... We'll be playing their likes on a regular basis in the relatively near future anyway.

Palace all day.

When we beat them at Selhurst a few years back they were fresh off beating Liverpool (coincidence!) 3-0 in the Carling Cup the week before. I can tell you the Palace fans I was sitting with would have bitten my arm off to swap the results...

More looking forward to the Liverpool game. The atmosphere for Palarse will be one of pure hatred, much prefer to hear the scousers come down and sing!

Pikeys need to get beat though, so that game.

What if we draw Manchester United at home in the FA Cup? How would people rate that?
