Sheffield Wednesday v Rottherham another derby 16,298 very impresive, they have a lot of season ticket holders so I wonder if they gave a free ticket or buy as part of a package.

I believe since the Glaziers took over Man Utd make you buy cup tickets if you are a STH.

No way, there were easily more than 900 in that queue. I counted 150 in front of me before I got bored and at that time I was just reaching the bottom of the slope. There were way more behind me.

When I used to work at The Goldstone they didn't count the amount of tickets sold, they counted the times the turnstyles clicked when turned on. They turned the turnstyles off when the decision was made to let everyone in last night.

I didn't think this had changed at Withdean.

The turnstiles are only used to count people going in to monitor the attendance against capacity of the stand so that no cruching should ensue.

Official attendance figures are now based on tickets sold rather than turnstile 'clicks' which as above shows, is eai;y open to abuse.

Why the hell would the visit of Hereford pull up any trees with Palace fans? i predicted 4k last night but there was more apathy than even i thought obviously! The Carling Cup is a dead loss until the semi-finals anyway, notoriously piss poor crowds in the early rounds.
