I think the game will go ahead purely on the basis that the PL won't want a postponed game and the strike is called off a few days before the fixture was to be played.
If the strike does go ahead, yes it may be like the Boxing Day game, but the PL will get the overseas TV coverage.

I have no idea whether the game will be rearranged….all I’d ask is that the powers that be let us know within say the next seven days? Not too much to ask

Hope it's postponed. Can't go on the Saturday. Or Friday. Sunday or Monday would be good though.

I would imagine there are other factors to be considered here rather than the PL’s kowtow to TV companies.

The only home game during my first trip back for 5 years. I've got pitchside photos organised pre game. I will have the mother of all hissy fits if it gets moved too much.

Driving should be fine just get to park and ride early.

Or drive to Brighton/Hove - park somewhere and bus/walk/cycle/taxi to Falmer.

Or bus to Brighton and bus/walk/cycle/taxi to Falmer.

Can the club look at getting more buses put on? Is there anywhere they could do an additional park and ride?

Hasn’t the club used a site at Pyecombe and also Hickstead before? Also the racecourse site can hold loads more cars if necessary. Plus Brighton station car park is a park and ride option too.

Terrific! As I said in an earlier post there will be a possible 14,000 fans who travel by train will now be unable to do so. So 14,000 fans rock up in Brighton and Hove by any means possible. Car parks will be full anyway on Saturdays, buses will be rammed, where are you going to be able to hire cycles (if you don’t possess one), taxis will definitely be in short supply and so on and so forth.

Your recommendations might have been feasible if you were taking into account a few hundred fans with travel problems but definitely not thousands. If this match goes ahead with the anticipated attendance of 31,000 there will be an unbelievable logistical nightmare in the offing.

There’s still availability on Seagulls Travel if anyone needs it.

RMT are striking. Last time southern DID have a service allbeit ltd started around 7/8am and started winding down 5/6 pm. Now if the ko was moved to say somewhere in the middle there like 12.30pm it may still be possible to move lots of fans to/from the match and if some (not all) decide to drive i.e. can get to the Amex by other means the sardine carrages may not be as rammed. What we need is a co-ordinated effort by all involved club railway police etc.

Looks like I'm going to miss this one.
South London based and no car option for me.
Away with my Son from Sunday, so even if it gets moved, I'm likely to miss it.

****ing annoying.

No argument with the Unions, I support what they are doing.

Haven’t we have home games on days with no trains before eg Boxing Day? Assume it worked out somehow [emoji2369]

We have but I think the club had more notice and was able to secure more spaces at the uni and park and ride sites.

With the lack of uni spaces and lack of drivers and buses they might struggle.

The Park 'n' Rides will already be extra-busy because there's no parking at the Uni or Bridge car park.

Anyway, how can EVERYONE arrive early?!

Like the nightmare Brentford game, which thousands of fans had to skip?!

More park and ride sites available on Boxing Day that won’t be available on a normal Saturday, you’ve also got to factor in that there is no parking at the Uni’s available so that puts even more strain on whatever alternatives there are. Plus the fact it’s Palace and all the fun and games that brings with the Always Ultras thinking they are big and clever.

Plus the stadium was half empty for the Brentford game so it didn’t really work out that well.
