I see our more challenged neighbours, to be clearer the ones who burnt their town down, have sold a slice of the business to a money man

He’s been described as a hologram pioneer and Hollywood’s virtual reality guru, at least we know how the new stand is being built now.

Ayew or Schlupp and then Olise when he is back from injury but we are also in the market for another winger and a striker.

I would judge us when the transfer window is closed as I have always said.

You want some?

I’ll give it yer!

Stop crying and read this!

Judging you on today’s performance, you were ****ing shite so let’s see what you’re like when the window closes.

I can’t wait to play your rabble! Only one new signing starting and everyone looking substandard. Two other London sides can’t wait to get their hands on you in August and absolutely ****ing destroy you.

Love it!

oh, he's not come on. What a surprise.

Just watched the hightlights, they were just awful. Loved this quote from the BBC write-up
there was never a single moment in the game when the Eagles looked like scoring.

And Viera says they need several more signings which means that the current squad isn't good enough. I

This can’t be right.

I distinctly remember Milo telling us that only one or two of our players would get in their team.

He certainly didn’t say only a few of THEIR PLAYERS would get in their team.

Tooooo funny. Viera having a breakdown already. Can't wait to watch the car crash unfold.

Brentford up next for them. Will be fascinating

Hang on. Milo told us their squad is already brilliant. Surely Viagra had that wrong!?

I don't ever remember CH or GP saying that we need more players. Even in the 'evolution' from CH style to GP style, he worked with what he got and went from there. Same for CH after Hypo.

However GP wasn't dealing with a total incompetent ****wit of an owner and management team who let most of their top players go.

Stage is already set on day 1 for a singing or 2 that's not good enough and PV gets the 6 boot by Xmas with The Scum firmly mired in the relegation places.

Hopefully.

Whilst this is a very pleasing and Milo is being shown up for being the clueless gobshite we all knew he was, it's worth bearing in mind the fine margins in football.

Chelsea are one of the league favourites, whereas Burnley finished 17th and lost something like 7 of their last 9 games - yet should have been out of sight before Potter's excellent half time intervention and substitutions changed the game. If we'd been level on points with them after week 1, it wouldn't have looked so clever coming on here.

I'd just rather wait for Palace to make a mess of some presentable fixtures before chuckling too hard at the silly little toddler.

Well I thought we would get a bigger thrashing than last years loss of 4.0 and Chelsea are a much better side than they were last time we played them.

It looked very much like we picked as many of last seasons team to go and prove you are better than the new signings.

We improved when Teckers and Anderson came on which was very promising, and it was great to see an 18 year old from the academy come on and do ok.

On Friday in the press conference there was news of two or three signings before it closes so that should be interesting.

Chelsea are a good side and it will be a good contest between them and city this season.

Palace I am not sure ?

Hard to tell anything from a game against Chelsea. 3-0 could happen against Brighton as well... they are pretty good after all.

Brentford game will be more interesting.

In all seriousness, there is no shame to losing to Chelsea. What might be of concern is the level of threat you offered. You had 1 shot on target, 1 of 4 total shots. This is very Hodgson like, if you don’t convert these very few chances (and you did enough last year), you’ll be in a lot of trouble. But surely there is going to be a fundamental change in style to address the concerns laid out in the always ultras letter?

The Brentford game is going to be the real weather gauge. Back at Selhurst but against a confident team who play the style of football you aspire to.

Agree that the Palace v Brentford game will be an interesting one. Away to Chelsea will be a tough ask for virtually all teams this season. Lose or only draw against Brentford and the early season optimism might be on the vane.

Mateta looked like a lost sheep out there. You can't build anything if the strikers can't hold the ball up and stop the ball coming right back at your midfield and defence

are Brentford favourites to win at Selhurst yet?

They just got humped by the European champions, it was the most predictable result of the day. I'd probably take a 3-0 up there tbh, especially when they'll have that monster Lukaku charging around against us.

There's no doubt Palace will embarrass themselves plenty of times this season, but yesterday was just a routine gubbing that most teams will get at SB.

Yes that was disappointing but the fact we improved when Teckers and the youngster came on was encouraging, I won’t panic ( not that I Panic about football ) even if we loose to Brentford there will be a steep learning curve and we will see how it pans out.
