Surely you were closer to being a franchise when you upped sticks and moved to Gillingham and then the Withdean, all because you allowed the Goldstone to be sold from underneath you

not at all, as it was the same club, it wasn't wound up, put in administration or anything else, the company was the same, as it has been since it was founded. Unlike Palace which has had three seperate manifestations. Each one a different entity, hence your official name of Crystal Palace Football Club 2010.There is a hint there in your name.

Saying because we played at Gillingham or Withdean makes us a franchise is like saying Tottenham were a franchise when they played at Wembley for 18 months, a complete nonsense. Lots of clubs have shared grounds for various reasons over the years and aren't Franchises.

Now you know that is not only stupid but also blatantly wrong, yet you still posted it …

I am guessing you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Are you very very young or just old and thick?

What a load of rubbish! We definitely didn't let the the Goldstone go from under our noses. It was actually us fans who were pushing for the move to Gillingham more than the owners were. There was no pitch invasions, a mass walkout, goal post being ripped down, fans camping outside the owners property or even chasing the board from their seats during the match. We were literally in party mode all the way through our journey to Gillingham. The true enemy was actually Liam Brady for getting us an extra season at the Goldstone before we went onto the heavy heights of the Priestfield. Do your research and you'll see we were doing all we could to get that move to Gillingham and boy what a couple of seasons they were!

Anyway shall we get back to Palace fan’s biggest fear and not about nonsense about what happened 100, 50, 20 or 10 years ago.

There is not much we can do about what our past chairman could / should have done as we are fans not owners.

You do realise that the Palace did not own their own ground for10 years, when Goldberg purchased the club and when Jordon took over?
I bet you were embarrased to find out that Jordon lied to the fans when in 2006 he said he had reunited the ground with the club for £12mill, when he hadn't and you owed Lloyds bank millions in unpaid rent on the ground, when you allowed your club to go into administration for the second time in a decade. Why did you fans allow all this to happen?

I think you will find most fans were furious when they found out but I think blaming fans for letting it happen is wide of the mark as most only found out when Lloyds wanted their 4.5 million back and sharpish.

It’s not like the fans allowed the club to go into admin themselves, is it ?

Anyway what Goldberg and Jordon did is not a current fear if I am honest.

Agreed, I was just pointing out to our friend Dan, that in most cases, the fans are powerless to make any change to what the guys in charge want to do
Perhaps when he gob’s off on another clubs fans site it might pay to know the history of his own club

he wasnt saying that, he was illustrating that Archer selling the Goldstone Ground was not something Brighton Fans "let happen" any more than Palace fans let that shitshow occur with your club , eaglesdan replied to a comment saying we let archer sell the ground.

Ioz , you continue to be one of the few Palace fans on here that you can hold a reasonable debate with, such a shame some of the other Palace contributors are not on your wavelength

loz speaks from his heart, as a fan, the others seem to want to rile and turn sensible debates into petty arguments, although we have our share of them as well.

Anyway, enough being nice, why did you burn your own town?

Reluctantly, I think Anderson is a very good signing for you. He has taken a large chunk of your war-chest but well worth it. Him being not able to turn it on for you in the EPL is certainly not a fear for you.

£15m is great business. Now for the midfield general.
