This bit alone marks you out as completely clueless. We are simply not "heavily reliant on him". He's been here 3 seasons, and was almost anonymous (give or take the odd good game) for a season and a half. Outstanding last season and the second half of the season before, I grant you.

People are betting on you being relegated because, on balance, you look a bit crap. Of the good players that remain, many are are over the hill and others don't want to be there. Your odds will only get better if you sign better players than you've lost because nobody seriously thinks you'll start the season with about 14 squad members do they? The problem for you (and it is an amusing one) is that, well, nobody who is any good wants to commit to a shambles like yours. You're going to end up overpaying for average players out of desperation.

To be clear, I've kept my head down on threads chuckling at Palace for the last few years and rightly so as it turns out - but this season is shaping up nicely for you to be in deep trouble, in stark contrast to ourselves, so this time round I'm all in. It would be lovely to see you down before my Christmas decorations and there has got to be a chance of this too. As I say, you won't be seen here when that happens - you'll scuttle off like a rat.

The guy from Zambia looks like an average buy at best, he's been playing in the Austrian League and is completely unproven.

This window you have got him and lost White, you are weaker than last year, fact.

We have bought well so far and I hear there is another 50-60m in the kitty to spend. Maitland Niles, Kabak, Lookman and Eduord all being linked to us, quality players.

Yes, we could go down this year but i highly doubt it with the players we are likely signing and the players we have already. More likely is top 12 and then an even better season next year. The future is bright.

So, going by what you say, you've spent well so far, you've heard you've got £50/60m still to spend, and you want another 5-6 players.

Can I just say, I don't think you will get them players you've listed for £10m a piece, including wages? (Celtic are rumoured to want £20m just for Edouard, then there's wages.)

That will be a £70/80m layout including players you've already bought surely?

Is that the ring fenced money or do you have nearly £200m laying around to fund the transfers and the new stadium?

Yeah Hugo don’t get excited by a player with Champions League experience that actually plays for us cause he’s from Zambia. Palace are being linked with, I’ll say that again, linked with not actually signed, Lookman and Maitland-Niles, now that’s something to really get a chubby on about.

If only we could get linked with players who got relegated with Fulham and West Brom last season then we’d know we’d have really arrived in the Premier League, sod all this signing Premier League winners or players that have played in the Champions League, that’s for mugs.
