Who did your under 23s play in the second half?

Because, Walsall are definitely a bog standard League 2 team. And that’s who you’re first team played in the first half.

In fact, they were 19th last season.

Because we won't spunk it on wages for ageing PL players and will invest it on young players we might be able to actually make a profit on?

Also we have a lot more players we can do similar with over the next few years rather than one asset that hoares himself out every transfer window to get a new contract?

I think you and the majority of the rest of the Brighton fans on here are extremely underestimating the transition we are making this season. Yes, we had a lot of experienced pros last season but a lot of the past it players and expensive paid players like Sakho, Dann, Townsend, Van Aannolt and Mccarthy are being released and with the money we are saving we are going down the route of buying the best young and upcoming talent in the Championship in Olise amd Guehi. If you are criticising these 2 buys then you really do not know much about football, both are exceptional talents and I have no doubt they will strengthen us. This pre season there is a real sense amongst the fan base that something special is about to happen, the early signs of the Vieira era are all hugely encouraging. Yes, Zaha is a special talent but we certainly are not a 1 man team. If I was a betting man I'd back us to finish comfortably above you again as we have done every season since you came up.

Tbf, I heard this too. My source in El Gaish say their board are fuming, as they were in the front running, fending off late bids from both Pyramids and the Champions, Zamalek. They had no idea a British club was also in for him! So we’ll played to Palace to beat off all the competition from the EPL.
