Come on, how long does it take to appoint a manager FFS!!
BFS is still out of work, Pardew too? Give it to that greasy sweat Freedman, but come on, I need to laugh long and loud.

This must now be a serious concern for Palace fans. Viera was due to be announced on Wednesday, just crossing the "t"s and dotting the "i"s, exactly the same stage Favre was at before he decided he needed a longer break from football.

Several times the media have said "unveiled in hours" and yet 3 days on no Viera, the out of contract guys not showing for testing prior to pre season, and no word from the "Stad de Clad"

Whichever manager takes over from Roy, they will have virtually no time to have any input into recruitment (what little Palace allow anyway) and even less time to work with whatever squad they can cobble together

If Paddy doesn't sign, who in their right minds would take the job, there must be something pretty horrendous in the details that the club reveal just prior to signing which has caused so many managers to run for the hills

Whilst we may not like the club, they are an established Premier League club who whether we like to admit it or not, haven't been serious relegation fodder for years so should be able to attract someone

Paddy V will be appointed, its just admin delaying the PR shite. Beaky will be full of himself as usual when it breaks.

They've cleared out some dead wood and seemingly have a fortune to spend. Arguably 'exciting times'. Well, taking a risk increases adrenaline release I guess.

If Beaky bungles this summer, he might lose any remaining credit with the fans. Fingers crossed.

The latest spin on the delay is Palace do not want to announce on the day of the England game so are waiting until tomorrow

Hastings
Shaun Derry along with Cahill as assistant will be announced with appropriate spin about keeping the playing style the same from u23’s to first team, and how it was always the club’s intention of keeping it in-house to promote the youth players.

Palace's finances were pretty dire even without the pandemic.
Selling Wan bissaka papered over the cracks for one season, but I daresay this season's books could be quite a sorry tale.

Discussing the economic realities with any prospectiver manager is going to be tricky.

Will any new manager really be that interested in building a premier league squad on a shoestring?
If Beaky can't make assurances of some kind of warchest, I'm not sure anyone is going to be rushing to sign up.

But having an EPL tenure on your CV seems to equate to gold credit card status. Athletico Mince cover it so well. Paddy V boards the gravy train.

Nuno and Favre joint team to be announced later from what I’m hearing. Can’t say it’s not impressive.

Yup. I heard he was going to hire a roller to level the lawn, but Wilf popped round and did a few tumbles for him for free.
