In light of today's news and not yet news I thought I'd have a little look at what's going on up in the grim northern wasteland:-
Crystal Palace: Quartet agree contract extensions at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace have agreed contract extensions with four players - Jeffrey Schlupp, James McArthur, Martin Kelly and Stephen Henderson.
Then there's
According to recent reports, Crystal Palace are ‘closing in’ on the signing of former Bournemouth winger, Ryan Fraser.
A player with a palace level of moral fortitude.
Hodgson doing his best not to lower the average outfield player age then: 27, 32 & 30. Ryan at 26 would help alleviate that marginally.
Many Palace fans I've spoken to recently seem more worried than they have been for a long time that the power base between us is shifting and, rightly so, they see the way our club has been carefully developed and built over the past decade as something they'll struggle to compete with for some time. Now, of course, that can change in the short term if an investor came in and threw money at it but it's felt they need to rebuild from the foundations up to do this in the longer term.
Up The Albion #Together
Does that include your own son?
Its ironic that AFC Wimbledon will have re-built an entire ground in the same time Palace have taken to not build anything.
Even the Mighty Bognor Rocks are going to have their new stand completed before the start of the new season.
Perhaps something like this might be more suitable for Parish's budget.

THAT IS AWESOME NEWS! Can't wait to get down to the Camp Nye, probably got more chance of seeing football there before we get into the AMEX!
We had a friendly at Horndean on Friday night in front of a decent crowd. Everyone used a squirt of hand sanitiser before entering the ground and completed a brief form with contact details that was handed in just before the turnstile.
It cost £6 for admission, but the value to my mental well-being was priceless.
Being able to see, chat and laugh with friends was wonderful and I returned home completely refreshed and in a better place.
This Wednesday night (26th Aug) Bognor play their next pre-season friendly at East Preston.
Can you just "Rock" up (See what I did there?) or do you book tickets in advance?
It is all very doom and gloom on the Palace forum. They lost 7 of their last 8 games . They have a terrible ground. They have lots of huge earners not playing well. They have the oldest squad and the oldest manager who has done ok considering the club he is at . Sainsburys refuse to sell up next door. etc etc.
Yet we finished above you again.
