No we are just enjoying your squad crumble to shatter the delusions of European qualification that have swamped your fanbase. Even Fulham picking off your first choice players now
I personally quite like Anderson, but he is an average defender with a lovely cross field ball.
Glasners teams dont play long cross Field balls that much , so that just leaves an average defender. Lerma played at CB at the end of the season and was OK we also have Holden back after a season injured.

But a good bit of business to buy a 25 year old for 17 million and sell a 28 year old for 20+ million.

The fire sale continues is this funding the west stand replica that is costing more than the Amex or is this going into Textors fund to buy Everton and finally escape palace.

Glasner must be getting twitchy and he has form for walking when not backed.

As usual palace the masters of f***ing up from a position of strength
By all accounts, selling Andersen is our way of backing Glasner and bringing in the quicker centre half that he is demanding.

I'll be sad to lose Joachim, he's a handsome devil and I've loved watching him ping 50 yard crossfield passes into feet for the last few years. £30m is an objectively good deal for a 28 year old who wanted to become our highest earner.

We will miss his goals…

Meaning?
I've genuinely only ever met one Fulham fan called Tarquin.
Well, I wasn't actually suggesting that Fulham fans are stuck up. But if they WERE they would be very dignified with it.

I see that it's difficult for you to even type, but we're 'Brighton' or 'Brighton and Hove Albion', not Sussex. And if you can't get into football because we're doing well, you may be off football for a while.

Unless you meant a different sport, and a lower division.
Cricket 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆

That is incredible.
How can a journalist even begin to research into that kind of detail? It must of taken forever.

I would think that Everton must be very nervous at the thought of Textor and his Russian mates investing in their club.
It must also make Parish to start thinking how he can somehow get rid of Textor in the cheapest way possible with the least disruption to Crystal Palace.
Doesn't Textor own something like 45% of Palace and hasn't it been mentioned that the money people reckon CPFC20 is worth something like £600m?
Who's going to pay about £250m for a share of a club without a controlling interest?

This looks like it could end in tears.
I wonder when the main stream media will start picking up on the investigation of Textor's Secrets?
It looks like a great story for The Athletic or The Guardian to get their teeth into.

Unless this is dodgy reporting, it all sounds very underhand and has caused lots of people to lose millions over the years.
Watch this space.

Great Money for Andersen, they absolutely have to take that.
I can see them digging their heels in and keeping Guehi now.

They will need to work hard to make sure Guehi is ok with the situation, and try to get him to extend his contract.

If they can get £30m for Mateta they really should take it, and there would be a good chance they could get even more than that.
The player is all power but little skill.
Mateta finished last season with an amazing highlights reel, and began this season by scoring a couple of goals in the Olympics for their under-23 team.
If he stays and starts appearing clumsy again, he'll begin getting rotated with Odsonne Édouard again. He's already been replaced by him at half-time in their opening day loss at Brentford.

If Palace have any sense they will cash in now while his market value is high.
Hopefully he stays.

Another rat scurrying out of the cesspit of Selhurst Park as Jordan Ayew looks set to join Leicester for around £5m, I would be suicidally depressed if I was a Leicester fan hearing that news. Doesn't seem the happiest place to be at the moment does it up at the Cladded Turd.

I think it's less about rats scurrying away and more about unfancied players being moved on.
Ayew has been a great servant to the club for a long time, but he doesn't suit Glasner's system. £5m + £3m for a player turning 33 in a few weeks is a great fee. I also think he'll do a good job for Leicester - he's not a goalscorer, but he's incredibly hard working, wins fouls & carries the ball well, etc. In short he's an extremely effective sh*thouser, and every team needs a couple of those.

Similarly, £30m for Andersen probably represents something close to selling a player at his peak value, which is a thing Palace haven't done well enough in recent years.

Other than Olise (whose departure we could do nothing about) we're not selling the family jewels. Naturally, these players will need to be replaced. If the next week isn't busy for Palace then there will certainly be question marks about what exactly we're attempting here, but I have complete faith in Dougie and Glasner.
