Not £200m , it was around £60m which I’m assuming is for early deals in the transfer market.

In the article I pasted but wasn’t allowed , it explained all of that, no money raised from player sales will go into financing the work on the ground, it’s two different pots.

OK, makes sense, they'd always said they'd got the cash but the cynics amongst us (Me), had always thought this had been spent. So has the work started or do they now have permission to start,

From the Althletic, there is an article about it.

First step which I mentioned is the new away dressing room under the stand so the porta cabins can be removed for heavy vehicles to access the site, then a car par again on the street level part of the stand to make up for parking lost during the build. Below is a photo of the work under the stand foe the away dressing room.

I suppose they haven’t actually started piling no, but they have started the pre work as I mentioned they have to have the new away dressing rooms finished so the porta cabins can be removed allowing the large plant to access the plant.

Like decorating you may start painting a room but not until you have moved the furniture and masked up the skirting board.

Five council-owned houses and one privately owned home in Wooderson Close need to be demolished. The club "has begun the process of obtaining a compulsory purchase order for the privately owned home." (They need to find a site for, and build, the equivalent homes they are demolishing, within the same area, to ensure no net loss of housing).

The club is currently tendering for quotes and deciding on a main contractor for the project.

If it’s the same article you did miss a few points out ? Unless I saw a longer arrival.

The Selhurst park improvement was delayed as it was decided to concentrate on building and finishing the academy which has been completed.

They hope contractors will be onsite by September.

We will see but IMHO getting the class one academy up and running had to prioritise the Selhurst park build. And as you can see with our U18s and U21 and ladies team as well as the subs bench this is paying off.

Also this was made in COVID times when a lot of things were up in the air.

This is what I find odd about Palace. If the decision to delay the stand was a strategic one then why didn't this get communicated? Similarly, if they haven't started the project, and there are more loose ends to tie up, then why communicate that it's started?

Nope, I'm not bored, having endured all the crap comments whilst at Withdean, whilst we were looking for planning and even when we were building the stadium, nope, I'm not bored at all, in fact, just getting started.

Not really @loz whilst I can see what you’re saying and the message does say preliminary building projects associated with it most people have interpreted it as “it’s started”, which it hasn’t. I guess it’s all about perception

It has started. New away dressing rooms are being moved to the lower holmesdale so the portacabins can be taken away thus freeing up that corner as the work on clearing parts of the ground commences. The state of the art new stand will be magnificent.
