Palace can't be doing that badly; their match vs Everton was the second game on MoTD last week. When we played Everton the week before, we were up last.

Croydon council seem to have a problem with the Fanatics. They didnt have a flounce on Saturday, they just went to try and get access to the drums flags etc.
Currently a lot of debate on the BBS as to whether the Fanatics help or hinder the atmosphere. I think they help, and there are many who dont subscribe to the black hoodie uniform this site thinks is required. I may not like the constant drumming, but without them, it is a bit like a morgue
And Eze for me doesnt dive, and both incidents should have resulted in penalties

Have to say I like Eze, a real talent. On the fanatics, for me it's harping bck to the dark days of football with the a sinister feeling to them lurking around in black outfits etc. I agree they can whip up an atmosphere but, on balance, I'd be against this at The Amex.

We have our wonderful three or four groups trying to get singing going in the North Stand with many singing over or just behind the other group!

It was a bit weird as they were there in the usual place but not drum or flags until half time.

I think they do improve the atmosphere my only gripe is I wish they would sing more traditional palace songs as some of them are so long they are a bit dull. One of the good things about them Is 90% of their songs are about supporting palace and not just anti who ever we are playing.

Eze was clipped and it should have been a pen and most of the pundits thought so to, but whatever it was never a yellow card.

I'm going to get roasted for this but luckily as an "older" Gentleman I don't really care. Often there are many around me in the North Stand trying to get songs going and wondering why people don't catch on with massive enthusiasm BUT I feel that songs with obvious foul language or talking about shooting people aren't going to capture tomorrow's generation, yes I know they've been sung for years and yes I should F*** off to the West Stand, yet when the song is GOSBTS, dear RDZ or about one of our favourite players most people join in.

"We hate Palace, we hate Palace" is TINPOT.
The demographic since the 70's has changed so much, we need to embrace it

So no anti Palace songs then?
We still like to sing about Andy Johnson and his magic hat
Not very often these days, I find these old school songs are sung in pubs and concourse but very rarely as a main song.

Anti Brighton songs are sung mainly the game before we play them, I haven’t heard the Famous Alan Mullery song for ages.

Stevie Coppell has never quite shaken off that VD has he.
I was once in the same Chinese restaurant as SC. Blossom House in Hamsey Green. Not that, that relates in any way to SC having an embarrassing infection.

Also said proprietor of Blossom House used to be the proprietor of Hove Rendezvous in Church Rd.

Not a lot of people knew this and I suspect not a lot care.

Also went on a bank training course with SC's wife.

You would have been furious if it had been given against you.

The height of his "fall" is what did for him. He leapt in the air to make the ref make a decision.

Eze"s style draws defenders in and he is always looking for contact.

Like Zaha before him, he will get yellow cards, that Palace fans will claim are unfair.

Both players use their skill to play on the edge of cheating/ "being clever"

I, of course, acknowledge that All Palace Are ****s. That's a given.

However Steve Parish comes across as very thoughtful, honest and sensible in this interview with Lineker and Shearer:

The beaky ****.
Simon Jordan hates him and often says he has taken more money out of Palace than he has put in. I believe he takes a £1.6 million salary which is strange for a co owner. Think I prefer one that puts in over £400 million. Think his heart is in the right place but totally out of his league and is not the main decision maker. My mates are split on him, they think he saved the club but time to move on as he has totally screwed the new stand project by constant mistakes ( their words not mine)

He definitely saved the club that can’t be disputed. He is also the chairman of the clubs most successful period in history, has he made mistakes ? Probably but haven’t we all.

I wouldn’t pay too much attention to Mr Jordon, he is quite bitter about his poor decisions that nearly lead to his and the club’s financial embarrassment.
