Yes Roy probably is the best option right now, hopefully taking Paddy under his wing and showing him the ropes until he can take over on his own.
Loz made a good comparison with our friends at Charlton, who became too big for their boots and wanted to push on to the next level, so got rid of Curbishley, and have gone downhill ever since
What is the expectation now for Brighton? After qualifying for Europe, does that mean the target is more than just staying up each season, like the other 12 or 13 clubs? Is a place in the Premier League now a given now, like a Spurs or Chelsea? Is it all about pushing on now, and always looking up rather than down?
