I wish I were you, cos it absolutely is everything to do with the contents of NSC.

Thankfully it's s incredibly rare we get like 'this' but when we do our hubris isn't backed up.
My only hope is we choke like dogs tomorrow so the reaction game is palace.
Whilst you are of course correct, I believe it was Sun Tze who first said "It is a foolish man who gets off a roller coaster at its highest point".

To be fair to them, if you read down the rest of the thread the OP gets called out on this bullshit, like this poster says:
Plus of course, with the club's insistance on 'undisclosed' we don't know how much of a net loss or gain we made on players who moved through - for instance, AFAIK, the likes od Mlakar, Baluta and Dreyer are still ou there somewhere playing professional football. Presumably we sold them - but was that for more or less than we paid fir them - and if it was less, was it much less. or close enough to breaking even?

This is a REAL post on their forum posted by an actual human being. Someone's made a list of our flops in the transfer market.
What a load of laughable bollocks.

Forget the players like Webster and Moder who are current first team squad players, forget Mwepu who had to retire due to a heart issue, forget the many players that were part of earlier squads that stayed up in this division, forget all the young players who went out on loan and earnt a loan fee before being sold on, what particularly tickled me was the inclusion of Ostigard.

He's included Ostigard and priced him at 110,000 euros. How can a player who cost less than one weeks wages for Zaha be considered a flop? Especially when he went on loan and would have comfortably earned his fee back with loan fees. And then we sold him to Napoli for millions. Napoli who are romping to the serie A title. What. A. Flop!

Quite a lot on that list did absolutely fine for us, for very little cost. Izquierdo was bloody brilliant, but sadly done by injury. Andone's £6m was worth it for the goal against them alone. And they've included Webster as one of our flops? And Mwepu and Undav

It isnt the contents of NSCs recent threads that will decide the points from these matches, but weirdly its the players on the pitch! Who knew?
Evidence?

It has to be said that we have a penchant for failing against all odds to get maximum (or sometimes any) points from Palace and Bournemouth
Correct

but given this seasons form it would be a huge surprise to come away with no points at all from the two matches
Did you watch that game where we destroyed them, and then lost to a Benteke goal in the last minute? I've never seen a team lose such a one sided match.

You bastard - I'd managed to blank that out...

I'm feeling that the next two weeks are going to be very different, and we're going to show the footballing World how far we've come. Yes, I know, I'm a bad lad, but I genuinely believe this.

10 points and a game in hand ringing out after the game today… I didn’t join in ahead of next week - they win and it slashed the gap to 7. Nervy times of that happens no?

Still, it’s been a happy new year hasn’t it?

No.

What will actually happen is that Colwill, Caicedo and Mac Allister will all be back, Palace wont get a kick and Mitoma and Mac will score two each. We will then be 13 points clear AND with a game in hand.

We are challenging for a top 4 spot whereas after next week, they will be properly looking over their shoulders at the relegation battle (just) beneath them.

Dream big! If we can beat them… 13 points clear with a game in hand.

*gasp*

Song doesn’t scan though… I’m looking forward to hearing 10 points with a game in hand next week though 🤣

I'm aware some fear talking about beating Palace and, if it proves nothing else, Saturday proved we can win ugly even when we're not playing well or playing a ten man defence. We've rarely gone into the A27, A23, Purley Way Derby as strong as we are now. Looking at the title of the Thread I'd say the Palace fans are currently having their biggest fear and i's only going to get worse for them.
