500! WOW!

Brighton - Bournemouth (2 hours 7 minutes) 2500 tickets sold
Croydon - Coventry (2 hours 25 minutes) 500 tickets sold

 Well, an extra 18 minutes is a big difference.

You realise our game isn't for 2 weeks...

Gotta love Brighton fans. Jack all for years and then they get a hardon because they took 2500 to Bournemouth.

We took 4000 to Reading. 2 1/2 hours by train.

Do we get an award....

I'm surprised it's not bring televised live. With a Dimbleby presenting the coverage.

Well done, Palace, you crazy kids. Going to an away game: it's just a MAD idea isn't it? You are the GREATEST. Have fun with those balloons and enjoy your special day

2,500 Palace fans at Coventry today. I am sorry but that is poor considering it was a special event etc.

Dunno. Was that part of the incentive to get your fans to turn up then?

By the way, National Rail website has East Croydon to Reading as about an hour and a half. Oh, and Coventry is a fraction over 2 hours. I suppose it goes to show that Palace fans are as fickle as every other club when your team is in decline. Ah well, enjoy those trips to Brentford next year.

Well. That worked, didn't it?
Depends on what the original idea was.We probably doubled the normal away attendance and most had a good time. The atmosphere was brilliant from beginning to end and the Coventry fans are saying that we are the best fans to visit the Ricoh and that includes the 6000 Leeds that went.
It was about us and not the team.I actually feel sorry for anyone who gets a new ground if the fans turn out to be anything like the Coventry ones.
p.s. A little warning from history to all who think that next years crowds at the apex will be there for ever.Coventry got big gates for their first year or two in the stadium abut if success goes then the crowds will drop and you are left with a shiny new morgue.

So the key to keeping a big crowd at your stadium is a successful team? Wow...that's insightful.

Pretty poor effort really from your fans despite the work that pauldrulez etc put into trying to mobilise the support.

It makes the request to Coventry for a full 6000 allocation look a bit daft.

Not at all ponce.Just reading the views on here many seem to imagine that a new stadium is a one way trip to eternal success. With all the glory hunters going to Falmer then your support could drop off a cliff in no time.
As for your comment Wozza I seem to remember you lot going on for days how charlton said how loud you were, wow Charlton.

We didn't ask for that they open the blocks one at a time. That is a good attendance considering we have now lost 12 out of 16 away.

Don't mock too much, there is a good chance you won't be playing a team as big as Charlton next season, just a thought.
