Words fail me. Happy to take all the Sky money and spunk it on trash like Benteke but not Amazon money, they could always donate it to St Johns Ambulance.

Appreciate it. **** Amazon (dont care much about their impact on football starting times though).

Couldn't help but think of that Ipswich Amex banner when I viewed this thread. Whoever the chumps were who put that together deserve Knighthoods. 'Services to comedy'.

I think it was meant not just for Tuesdays game but also the Boxing Day games, although palace kick off at 3 some clubs kick
Off early and one starts at 8 on Boxing Day evening FFS !! You must also remember the money is not for the fans that turn up come what may but for the fans who watch from the armchair.

This is one time when I have to say that just because it was them who raised the banner doesn't mean it was wrong. The only thing wrong was that it highlighted Amazon rather than all the TV broadcasters.

The continual way we are messed around, unable to make any travel or personal plans because we are waiting for ever delayed TV announcement dates is infuriating.

The EPL think their objective is to raise as much money as possible so this will never happen..........but wouldn't the average admission paying fan be much better off if the Premier League create and publish their fixture list at the beginning of the season, with most games on Saturday at 3.00 but with some games on other days and times. Then say to the broadcasters that they can bid on broadcasting those games at those times. Of course they might pay a billion or two less but that would just reduce today's stupid transfer fees and player wages.

Oh, and possibly also reconsider the ban on broadcasting 3.00 Saturday games.

Here we go...back in the olden days all games kicked off at 7.30 or 3.00. You could tackle from behind, and every team had a little fat winger. We were in the third division, because we were a bit shit. There was no live football on the telly, then, so nobody got to watch live action of men pissing on the terracing (although we didn't do that at the Goldstone, because we're southerners). Ever since Sky got involved, and all those foreign players came over here, football has got worse and worse. It isn't for the working man any more. You can't smoke at the games, or shout out what needs to be said at these black players, and that. And what's worse, they have started having games kick off at 7.30. It's a bloody disgrace and I am never going to watch the Albion ever again.

The 10,000 extra fans who turn up only in the top division, obviously love the premier league and its tv riches. Maybe their fellow fans should be having a go at those plastics instead of Benteke's paymasters?

Yeh, but if a change is made and it isn't good, you should be allowed to say so. Scheduling games for the TV audience rather than the match attending fans should be challenged

The irony is Amazon were showing Premier League matches as a loss leader (so they're not profiting off football directly). Should have been directed at all rights holders and at the PL bigwigs who seem to think their entire raison d'etre is generate as much money as possible in anyway possible.

This of course conveniently ignores the fact that the TV deals they benefit from have enabled them to continue shovelling £130,000 a week into the SEGW's trousers, in order to keep him trapped playing at the biggest dive in south London, in a jester costume.
