Probably because we have been worse than dreadful for 30 years and not done much in a 100 years worth writing home about. BHA are happy being a club with a large support playing lower league football but that in the long term is going leave us far behind with English top flight football being an international product.

Are you actually for real?

As you say, no one knows how it's going to pan out.
With the current 4 owners retaining a 30% stake in the club, I would hope this will keep the club on the right road.
Redeveloping the ground and training ground seems to be the main reason for this proposed new investment, and if it helps us to establish ourselves in the PL , you can't turn it down.
Time will tell.

Utter garbage.

These guys are in it for upside definitely but they don't need to buy 100% of the club to control it. Parish and his cronies can keep 30% as an equity upside trade and everyone is happy.

Private ownership by guys like this is all about cost control, and redeveloping or building a new Selhurst will involve a capital outlay far in excess of the return it will generate. Don't forget they don't play the long game either so the even if they did get it back the IRR generated would take way longer than they would want to be invested.

Premiership club valuations will go up regardless because of the new TV deal. Sounds to me like Parish needs a new pair of aviators so is cashing out his outlay because he can. there is certainly no requirement to pump a load of new money in to get a return here.

Is this the moment e-sports comes of age?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-37475564

It is a deal that could mark the moment e-sports enters the big league. The US owners of a famous basketball franchise and investors in Premier League club Crystal Palace have snapped up two of the leading e-sports teams...

...Josh Harris and David Blitzer, already owners of the 76ers and an ice hockey franchise, bought a substantial stake in Crystal Palace last November. This deal will be on a much smaller scale but it seems the pair have big plans.

"The e-sports industry is primed for incredible growth," says Harris. "And we are thrilled to become an owner of such a storied franchise as Team Dignitas."
