Not all Palace fans are c**p...there are decent fans there...but..and a BIG BUT...You have to watch your pockets....Eagles...stolen from Philadephia Eagles....well at least they have Eagles there...not so many in Croydon. Shirt colours...let's say stolen from Barca...one of the songs taken from Hamburg team St Pauli...the other from Chas 'n' Dave who performed at Smellworst Park...both Tottenham supporters..like what Wiki says about the Glad all over song...played at the begining of a match and at the end (if Palace win).still with American backing they can claim the US Dollar as their local currency.
Nah good luck to them...reality will hit home soon.

Love this thread.

Like others I am realistic about comparisons with us or anyone else, but it really does put to bed the Palace delusion that their new found fans are in any way decent.

Where was I before the Amex ?...let's say I was at the Goldstone for 39 years...two seasons at Gillingham...never missing a match...the rest of the time season ticket holder at Withdean till moving to the Amex in 2011...even a relative of mine played in the first Albion match....yes we do have many new fans...but as children get older they support their club...every club gets that...now your credentails are.... Mr L'hampton Eagle.?

There really is some gold on that thread......

Ridiculous statement. I wasn't there at the end, I left after 65 minutes because my Dad was about to be sick on the people sat in front of us.

I know they were losing but this still seems a bit of an extreme reaction. Perhaps his dad is Father Jack?

Where were the rest of you lot in the goldstone days and Sports centre days?
Watching hockey? or don't tell me playing badminton?
You are not a big club and never will be your history tells you that.
Neither are we and we never will be... We have a hardcore of about 12-15,000 historically.
Do you know what your average is historically ?
Have a look:ohmy:
Anyway it's what happens on the pitch what matters is it not?and we are considerably better than BHA.
Times are good at the Palace

A true post.

Whilst we can bang on about the Withdean years and Gillingham years causing our fans problems, our historical average is nothing to write home about.

What's important is what we're creating now, and sustaining that. In this, the club are doing a great job and long may it continue.

Times are good for Palace and who knows how long it will last. That said, given the money they'll be getting from the TV deal it would take a businessman with balls for brains to cock it all up. Step forward Mr Parish - your time has come.

For the last 5 years we've been in the 2nd tier of english football achieving crowds above 20,000.

You lot don't even get close to that when you're playing in a lower division. The only thing you have over us is being in the Prem, but that doesn't make you bigger otherwise I can only assume you think Bournemouth are bigger than Forest and Leeds United.

Shirt colours stolen from Barca? We were playing in red and blue before El Tel got there. It did switch from claret and blue, which was what we inherited from our first Secretary (I think) who came from Aston Villa with a teamstrip.

That'll be counting all the S/T holders that didn't in fact show up, judging from the pix.

Let's be honest the palace tw*ts have been counting fans that don't turn up for years. Far longer than the Albion have been doing.

The only things we have over Palace is a much nicer stadium and bigger gates, but let's be honest, most of our home fans weren't seen for dust during the Withdean and Goldstone ground days.

Until we get promoted (which we will either this season or next), I suggest we leave Palace alone as we don't have much to shout about compared to them. The comments on this thread are just clutching at straws. Hate to say it, they currently own all the bragging rights but what goes around comes around and football has a habit of changing fortunes quickly.

It's so funny, I hadn't been on here for a few days but a game between two clubs in another division and you just pour out the bile, don't you? Get it out of your system. lovie. Next season if Daddy Bloom is good enough with his money, maybe you ....

Those Goldstone ground days when we had many crowds of over 30k in the 4th, 3rd and 2nd divisions?

What's the harm in making fun, irrespective of standing, when our rivals mess up and their uber fans find the fire exit at 65 minutes? This thread is NOT comparative, it's a p*ss take.

Nah not me, don't see the point in gloating on a game that we can only dream of at the moment. I do however love to see you twats squirm when we point out your JCL's and your fans leaving early. Surely that just the weeds isn't it? Can't be us wonderful Palace loyals who bang a drum.

You loyal Palace NSCer's really don't like the truth do you?

One thing we definitely have over Palace, is that our fans aren't sad enough to use our rivals internet forum in disguise as Palace fans.
