I see his contract was cancelled with Luton due to his wife having a brain tumour.
Our thoughts are with him and his family

It was mutual consent so he could be back in NI to be close to his family

Same reason as he pulled out of the NI Euro squad

Wish Paddy well

My wife had one of these two years ago. Good news is that it was not malignant and was totally removed by the terrific team at Hurstwood Park in Haywards Heath. Hope Paddy's wife is similarly lucky. Thoughts with her, Paddy and their family.

Pretty sure that I read the other day that his situation is similar.

The recovery time was to be a few months but he had kept it quiet until he knew the operation was done and she was on the mend.

Horrible – can't imagine what it must be like for the McCourts.

Here's hoping for a speedy and full recovery...

Sad news, does happen unfortunately. I remember Kishishev for us had to leave in similar circumstances.

All the best to Paddy and his family

He did look a bit like him, I agree.

Never good news to hear about anyone, so hoping for the best for her, Paddy & family.

His wife had breast cancer and died unfortunately. He went back to Bulgaria when it was diagnosed, for a few weeks. He left us at the end of the season, and she died aged 38, the following year.

Best wishes to the McCourt family.

My sister-in-law had the same some 10 years ago and is still going strong:)
