Scantily clad maybe but never naked. Come to think of it, I don't think they were ever topless either.

They used to sell them in the fish and chip shop on Manor Park estate in Uckfield when I was a kid. I imagine it would be a struggle to get that Point Of Sale material past the Marketing Dept these days...

As if sex doesn’t sell today, eh? We live in a time where people are more obsessed by looks and body image than ever before, the hypocrisy of likely outrage at things like this peanut advert from yesteryear does make me chuckle. Besides, she’s got nice Brazil’s too.

The banning of smoking on planes helped ease my fear of flying. It was never that bad I wouldn't fly, but I always felt very uncomfortable doing so. However, having always sat towards the back of a plane so I could smoke, after it was banned I randomly got allocated a seat in something like row 4 or 5. It was immediately noticeable to me that there was far less engine noise "up front" and for some odd reason, that made me feel much better. Nowadays I always ensure I sit as near to the front as possible when flying.

Cracking idea, then the smokers could neutralise the smell from the portable loos halfway down the plane.
